Dunno, was done last in june last year according to the HPI check i did. Current owner 'knew nothing about it'.
He phoned the last owner (he only bought it two weeks ago) and got told the car got broken into smashing the drivers side window and damaging the door a bit.
Insurance wrote it off with it being an import...
'If' thats all that wrong with it then fair enou

Thanks for everyone's input , gonna the guy back in the morning turning it down. This would have been a straight swap for my redtop but normally prefer to pay top dollar for a car i know is legit/sound and in good nick. I paid £3k for my current vts cause it is mint, last thing i want to do is get a strange car in place of one i know that works fine/no problems

Pretty gutted tbh Just off the phone to the owner who's been on the phone to the previous owner. Apparently it was written off because it was broken into, the drivers window was smashed and above the lock damaged. So the story goes, it was written off because it was an import and the insurers thought they'd have a problem getting new window and door. Since then (november) its been through an mot and what not with nothing noted

After all that... just did an HPI check on it and turns out the glanza's a Cat-C write off as of june last year No Glanza for me this weekend then bit gutted tbh after looking through the site and seeing the potential these pocket rockets have

Was looking forward to seeing/getting my hands on a glanza tommorow but just did an HPI check and it came up as a Cat-C Write off . The current owners only had it two weeks which made me suspicious anyhow but just really glad i did the check this time Here's the old pistonheads add from when the current owner bought it - link. Currently up in Aberdeen and not advertised as for sale (i got offered a swap) but should be easily recognisable as it has a front bumper side exit exhaust just thought i'd make fowk aware.

That was a year ago now an my first VTS , had that 4 weeks to the day. "gutted" didnt quite cover it like. ('97 plate, 36k miles, mk1 and posi blue exactly how i wanted it).

I paid £2k for the corsa bout 8 moths ago. Was only testing the water with selling it so put it up for £2.1k (http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1595628.htm)
Half thinking of buying another vts though. Cant really justify it to myself though as this new vts would be for the track... Not that i have any time to go racing likes but hey!

haha! good point, the corsa is fun but bloody noisy with ahh the vibration/solid mounts. Makes my vts feel like a Rolls! It may grow on me, but think i'll get a new front bumper and tidy up the hole as its not been cut quite right first time The engine bays clean and just a general tidy up should see it good to go anyway. Going up to see it on friday so will pos up with how i get on

changing the air freshner in your car could theoretically void your insurance as its a 'modification' in theory up to you if you tell them though, might as well for all itd cost you if anything

Hey fowks, Thought i'd post up here and say hi, i'm a bit out of my depth when it comes to jap cars (french diehard you see. 1x pug, 4x saxo's and a corsa you see ) so any help would be greatly appreciated. Have signed up and read some of the very useful buyers info on this site as i've been offered a glanza as a swap for my corsa redtop. The redtop is my daily, have a mint vts for when the sun shines so dont want to get rid of the corsa and end up with a ragged glanza.... Thing thats bothering me most really is that the current owner hasn't had the car long (the old ad is still on pisto
