(NAS) starlet ep82

Hmm could be steering rack because i have had the track rod ends changed & steering is abit out of line BUT having said that it is a loud clunk

Hi the outer CV joints have both been changed tho for new ones :-/

Forgot to mention the after market gearbox is a cusco LSD

as some of you might know i've been building my starlet for just over a year now aswell as building mine at the same time have been helping on my mates starlet too

basically we've finally got his car up & running & after many nightmares we've finally got some braking pressure

RIGHT TO THE POINT NOW -

basically we had my mates starlet out tonite for the first time after a year drove the car runs sweet,BUT noticed/heard we have a knocking/clunking sound when we turn right or left the more we turn the steering to either side the more it makes the clunk noise louder.. the car is running an after market LSD gearbox which has had always the usual clunk when turning right in full lock but now we've got the noise from both sides & also when we hit a small pot hole the passenger side suspention seems like we could hear the top suspension mount knocking (1 year old meister R coilovers fitted)

not quite sure what it is but i'm guessing its from the drive-shafts ??

since the car was off road a year ago we had the suspension off (meister R's) also fitted new Cv joints & track rod ends, lower ball joints etc

we know the car needs tracking done BUT we are going to get the geometry set up all at once when this annoying clunk noise is sorted

any info & help much appreciated guys

thanks guys everything was fitted the right way around

we changed the master cylinder again on HIS car & finally we have some brakes pedals bit down tho BUT also the rear passenger side caliper on his car is dragging the car back all a sudden & this is after we refitted the calipers back on the car &the new brake master cylinder

but yeah we have some brakes finally

& the caliper that is dragging back was totally fine last week help :/

the only air we can hear is from near the servo vacuum hose it's also a new vacuum hose too

as we press the pedal down we can hear air coming from near the servo but this might be normal i think ???

really stuck with this now been well over weeks

surely someone must have come across the same problem this ??

we have already tried the easy bleeder

it's a actually my friends car parked at my unit (johnnygt) hes only signed up on tgtt.com

also we fitted hel braided lines all round & we had a look at MY ep82 & every line etc is fitted on correctly

we have bled them several times now

master cylinder & brake servo was changed too

we've spend nearly 3 weeks at my unit trying to get some brake pressure but its never gonna happen he's actually starting to hate the car now

this is very very strange tho as i've done brakes before on other cars without any problems

As above some of u may know i'v jus done a big engine build including fittting HEL brake lines

So 1 month of trying to get brake pressure &. We have no brakes at all

Just fitted a 2nd hand master cylinder & brake servo & still have no brakes at all


Basically thres no brake pressure even after a few pumps
& when i start the car up pedal jus goes straight down to the floor

Thres no leaks anywhere on all the pipe connections etc

I'm actually losing the faith now

I have had the servo & master changed of a running car

Servo n master was changed from a ABS glanza

But my car is a GT ep82 with no ABS

We had the both rear calipers changed from another car n these calipers are in perfect working order

Wen we bleed the brakes its only the both rear brakes that have a more of a fizz rather than air bubbles

There are no leaks at all anywhere

As my friend presses the foot brake i can hear a air noise from near the master/servo is this normal?

Also as we press the brakes we can hear fluid at the rear brakes rushing around the pipes

& brake pedal gets hard after a few pumps then if i let go of it for 2 sec's it goes right down to the floor then

yes ''idrees'' the evidence jay has does look 100% from his side.. the problem is i havent got enough evidence from my side as i only took 2 quick pics.. if james had asked for more pics i would have took more & happily posted them up for him..

i dont believe they have either been damaged when in courier as the box would have been damaged, looking at jay's pics the box looks in perfectly good shape!

idrees- if u want to come view my car for damage etc u can.. i will also take u for a drive & u will hear the front wheel bearing making a noise.. you can also have a look at all my rims for damage, (u have to see to believe idrees because these guys abviously dont, & hopefully this will shut them rite up!)

idrees- i saw your brother week before last on sunday he was in bradford we had a little chat he was in the black GT complimenting my car (this was when the new coilovers were fitted on the car for 2 weeks!)

hope this puts some sense in people!

The evidence Jay has does look 100% clear, but I don't live far from Nas and I see his car around quite a bit. Never seen any damage on it and he has a brand new set of rims that still look brand new, I imagine they would have got damaged if he hit a kerb.

Nas if you think they got damaged in the post, you should claim on the parcel.

As for Fudge, he is a clear waste of space and has helped ruin Bradfords reputation on here! He clearly doesn't give a shit either.

i had told fudge by text when people was complaining that they have'nt recieved thre parcels yet, he said he will clear that thread up, but abviously he is'nt bothered..

there is no way that the hub bracket could have been bent like that without some moron crashing their car with those suspension components on it at that time.

hey guys!

as most of you know ive sold a set of coilovers to (biffy) on here..

so ive sold him a set of buddyclub coilovers, which i had wrote on my for sale thread that one damper is leaking'' ,

i had them advertised for 270, bt he made me an offer of 200 which i told him i will have a think about it.. so i didnt have enough serious intrest so, he txtd me again then ''thought about it mate'' , so i said to him i'l take 230, he said its ''200 or nothing chum!'' so i took his offer n did a deal.. so i cleaned & boxed them up ready to post..

so 2 weeks after payment he recieved the coilovers! , hethen txtd me a week later saying ''mate the coilovers are fucked'' he said 2 rears are leaking n one front is bent.. i replyed to his text saying there is no way they are bent only one is leaking as my axle was wet on one side just a little tiny bit was easy to see its the rear dmper is bust.. so i parked the car up that day as i didnt want the other side damper damaged.. & so i booked a early MOT test as it was nearer the time anyway.. so it abviously failed on the rear damper (one) clearly see the leak!

now he is trying to say ive damaged the other side rear damper & both rears are leaking which is not true at all, because i marked the leaking one (small white label) & cleaned them all up with wd-40 (thats why the dampers are slightly wet/oily)

i have been texting james back on the questions he asked me, & still he sends me blank texts etc.. but its got to the point where im fed up of texting him the same thing over again as he does'nt understand..

he asked me for a full refund which i gave him a straight answer - ''no way im giving a refund as they was fine when removed from the car minus 1 leaking tht i had mentioned on for sale thread'' & if they was'nt road worthy then the 3 coils would'nt have flew threw MOT test!

i have now removed my old buddyclub coilovers because i crashed my car and thought i would rob this guy here out of £225 including postage. of his hard earned savings for a set of coilovers!

yeah thts rite ive now removed my buddyclubs as 0ne failed on MOT test, & got a new set
