  1. For it's class 210 is almost as high as it gets, 220 in the rs clio is the highest I believe, would hardly call that power wet considering all the cars before hand have less hp?

Agreed and the Clio is let down by the fact an RS looks the exact same as a regular one.

Rs Clios used to be one of the best looking in that class now they just blend in.

  2. I'd say it's no taller than a standard Fiesta st tbh, considering it's probably a computer rendition as they haven't made it yet it could sit lower or higher, Toyota have confirmed more than 210 hp though so thankfully they have something right

It most likely isnt but it doesn't look right.

Fiesta ST has side skirts which helps its profile. There is non in that image of the yaris.

    Back end is nice though.

Didn't read the article just noticed they will provide more than 210bhp which if they keep their words is exactly what they need to do, step outside the box. 210+ is high for this category.

  3. Thumbs up from me on these. Havent driven either but being an Alfa owner (and therefore an owner of a FIAT product) I'd agree that the concerns over reliabilty of years gone by arent the same. Would LOVE to have a spin in an Abarth Punto, meant to be great.

There's also the Mito Cloverleaf, another little pocket rocket not to be sniffed at and plenty of aftermarket support from the likes of Novitec.

    Phil.

Agreed Phil, dont get me wrong they are still plastic fantastic but its not a premium brand.

If anyone was keen I would advise to make sure they buy a 180bhp model.

Other than the obvious lack of quality ( on par with a ford ) it has been a great little car does about 45mpg and is nippy and fun, looks good with the right wheels IMO and they are easily the best sounding factory supermini I genuinely dont know how abarth made a 1.4 sound so good.

  4. The fiat, corsa and mito are practically the same car just diff engines, underneith chassis wise are the same. Fiat also has the same issues as the corsa regards to interior stuff like heater issues etc. Not sure about the mito. Ive owned corsa vxr and had no issues except wheel bearing there is 1 big usse with the corsa and thats everyone has one I hope they release the fiesta but there is no news on being released.

Bought my corsa 3 and a half years old with 17k on the clock. Traded it in 2 and a half years later with 56k.

    During ownership:

    I got about 27 mpg

    Cost £280pa road tax

Replaced both rear wheel bearings twice

    Blown head gasket

    Slipping clutch

    Wiper linkage faulty

"performance" engine that delivered all its power within 500rpm you'd have thought it was a diesel

    Terrible handling car

Bonnet bubbled and needed replaced 2 months after purchased ( covered under warranty )

If you sit in the seats for longer than an hour you will need spinal surgery

Basically the biggest pile of dogshit ever.

    Looks cool though.

  5. That yaris is hideous did they just give it a stupid paint job and forget to add a body kit looks like its on stilts?

You can almost guarantee that it will only get between 140-180 bhp and land it in the underwhelming power category.

  6. Corsa VXR is the worst Car I've ever owned if you are looking for owners reviews all I can say is DO NOT buy one.

Have an Abarth 500 just now which is considerably better, the Punto Abarth is a very nice little car, I was afraid of the brand but (touch wood) Ive had no issues what so ever bar wear and tear.

What about the new Ford Focus RS m3 smashing motor its brother bought one 2 weeks ago in the 'Nitro Blue' perfect colour for them in my opinion m, guess my money is towards Focus RS

He's said £15k, they are nearer 40 lmao.

  7. Spray or brush some sort of fuel onto it. You dont need to submerge it.

Work the fuel into the grime and dirt then leave it for a while re-applying more fuel and working in if need be.

Then pressure wash it clean and dry it in front of a space heater.

  8. Did you have the coil off? Or the king lead?

If its getting fuel and it ran before the gearbox change then it cant be fuel or compression.

Which means the problem is ignition.

Map sensor is the other side of the engine, coolant temp sensor would cause it to run rough and difficulty to start but it WOULD start and run.

Which leaves power to the coil and knock sensor.

Sooooooo I still think its an earth lol.

  9. so, i need to replace them, is it a gargae job or can i do it myself, ive got basic knowledge but would like a guide how to do it, i realise ineed to remove the cams in order to do it but how do i make sure everything goes back in the right position so as not to mess the whole thing up, all comments greatly appreciated .

No mate, basic skills for this is a no go.

You need to be competent working on car engine to even so much as entertain this. Also the head doesn't need to come off, theres a way to do it without removing the head but it takes even more competency.

  10. New RS3 is a little overated imo. I had a customer swap his Evo IX in for one and I thought he was a little mad. That said if you want modern refinement they aren't bad. Not as lairy drive as you may think.

I've gone to an Evo 8 too, granted an RS model but they are awesome cars. I can't see myself buying another ep after owning this.

    All Audi's are over rated.

  11. Easy peasy to get them out in tact.

Cover them in oil and take the valve out then the rubber comes out no probs.

Other option is to heat it up with a hair dryer as well does the same sorta thing I've had success both ways.
