  1. aye i have to get it moted before its registered so garage going to take it to get moted since there insured. then ill get it back rip out engine and get all the engine/turbo/ecu put in have to take it to get a map put on it to run it in. then ill register and insure it drive it to run it in then get it mapped properly. should stop alot of headaches as the local mot station is a granny garage so trying to explain to them why they should pass a massive front exit exhaust is more hastle that its worth :p then by time its due its next mot it will be up and running so i can take it to a friendly garage that understands imports lol

    My old work mate.

    Hand them keys......PASS IT!!!

    Passed ;)

  2. Its no that its just trying to get people to do it. Always up for the idea then when it comes to the crunch..nuhin. Fuck it im putting it out there see what happens.

Haha mate I can imagine it would be painful. Why you mot'n it tho if your just gna rip it apart lol?

  3. How about this 1 any thoughts?

I have a Tongs CT9 and when it goes on boost around 2500-2800 its shoots up to 0.8-0.9 for avery quick second or 2. It then settles higher up the revs around 0.5-0.6. I know you will get a slight spike with initial boost but it shouldnt be this far above what its holding any body came across this before?

I still have the standard top mount which I know wont help.

Plus i think my actuator is pretty loose as without the EBC it only makes about 0.2-0.3 so I was going to tighten that to about 0.4-0.5 and see if that helped.

Any suggestions to jump start my thoughts would be helpful though.

  4. Dont do your alignment until you have the suspension set up. Its a waste of time.

They will use guages on the back and front wheels to set them up and if they are doing full set up will adjust the camber also.

Bringing down the back end will then upset all of this.

When doing alignment the 1st thing you do is check tyre pressures. If a few mm in your tyre wall makes a diff then it sitting like a monster truck at the back will send it way out.

I 100% would wait untill its all done 1st.

  5. I dont think clamping has ever been legal in scotland. As for towing if its from the owner of the car park then im sure they can get it moved as its private land. Should find out who owns it mate.

  6. Check out CJ performance there is a group buy for DGR ones on there and they are very reasonably priced (about the same as most 2nd hand 1s)

If you think they are more than what you want to spend. I have a tidy shock and spring set up in the for sale section.
