Only reason I really questioned it was because the car who does the work on my car owns and competes in his own drift team and specialist jap garage. His always been great and really knows his stuff. Maybe he just means that 10w 40 is more suitable. Think I'll stick with fully syn but go for a 10w 40 through the summer Thanks for your input buddy

sorry dude, i meant he said '5w 40' is too thin. but thats what i thought, being 5w just means its easier on the engine for cold starts but when warm performs the same as 10w 40.

If always used fully synthetic but yesterday the guy I take the car to said I should be using semi ? He said 5w 10w fully is way to thin!

Hi, this has gradually been getting worse over the last 3-4 months and I think it may have even started after having my exeedy organic clutch fitted. Its not a problem when driving normally but when trying to change gear at high RPM it sometimes crunches and always takes a couple of seconds to click into the gear, just feels really notchy and its so irritating! 2nd and 4th seem to be the worst. Does anyone know what it might be? Clutch, Gearbox orrrr? Could it even be as straight forward as the gearbox oil being replaced with the wrong oil when the clutch was done? ta

Same I couldnt get insured for under 2k untill I was 21, then it went right down! im 22 now with 4 years ncb and pay 1070 fully comp with all mods lot declared which i think is quite reasonable..

I have looked and I can only find the cheap speedvision and ebay ones :S Can anyone shed some light on this I just want a decent brand new turbo, preferably hybrid, to replace my factory fitted one as its going to be shot anytime now by the looks of the cracks in the wastegate. Cheers
