Was the master hard to change
-
Get it on the floor!
-
Gears drop straight onto the box so can't see that but never know i spose.
Hadn't driven car for a week as been on holiday. clutch defo feels different to what it did do though
-
Would there be any sign of it leaking though?
And seems odd how it was ok on the 10 mile drive to town (dual carrigeway) but half way home an hour and half later it was being shit. started off not wanting to go into 6th but gradually got worse and now it doesn't want to go into any gear really
-
I know this isn't the idea place to ask about my s2k but I've spent long enough on here to know people have a wide knowledge.
Basically my clutch/ csc or cmc seems to be fucked.
Sysmtoms are:
Car was fine in morning. coming home was hard to get in gear and feels like clutch isn't fully engaged. just feels sticky.
If i do a balls out racing start the clutch doesn't slip at all.
so far I've changed the fluid but it made no difference. the clutch just feels loose as owt. no air in the system at all and i.can't see any evidence of the slave leaking.
Any ideas? last thing i need is to change the.clutch in that its a bit more work than the glanza was lol.
Any help really appreciated
thanks

As above. goes to a switch on the block behind your downpipe

In all fairness apart from the bull shit and those whees and bonnet it looks pretty clean body work wise
if i had the money id buy it. pretty sure if you spent a bit on some wheels and a bonnet you'd make a few hundred quid on it

Is there no engine warning light on? if its hunting up and down the revs try cleaning the idle control valve. (unit on right hand side on the end of inlet mani if looking at pic) there's a guide on tgtt
-
Un plug it first and see if it makes a difference.
Mine ran almost perfect without one whilst i sorted another out
-
The tps? Mounted on the side of the throttle body?
If so its called the throttle position sensor. on starlets i was told that it only really tells the ecu when you've let off the accelerator. this tells it to stop adding feul special you aren't popping and banging as you engine brake i spose is the best term.
it will run without it however obviously Toyota didn't put it on for fun so best get one sorted asap

Got a full stainless powerflow. not very loud. pm if interested

I think everyone on here gets shit about the cars. i had no end in mine. mates never really did but they all liked it.
its all fun and games till someone sits at the light telling his Mrs how shit it is in a soft top shed. weren't laughing so much by the next set of lights.
it is jealously Tbh. some right clueless Wankers about
-
Gonna bring the s2 over i think
-
Yeah sorry i was meaning more on the reliability side of things
-
I ran 1.5 @335 bhp
-
As said its alright in a straight line but if you wanna do the damage you need chassis mods. To be fair i had 335 brake but that was after i had 300mm wilwoods trd lsd coilovers all braces etc. if you can't corner as well you've fucked it really. don't get me wrong i like a balls out straight line thrash as much as anyone but there's nothing like sticking it into a corner next to an evo etc and be pushing them round it or have them left around it.
I've got an s2000 now and its not as fast as the v but as a car its ten times better. Plus it kept on the arse of jamie1st 272 brake glanza the other night up to 150 (on private road)
handling ftw

Its good power but should have come in a lot sooner. gave an awesome punch when it did though. Was in at about 4700 but the majority of vf35 users seem to get it just after 4k.
-
My vf35 made 335 brake at 1.5 bar
