That's the oil filter, this always happens with UK spec 91's. Just bent it back slightly, using a crow bar or a rubber mallet
not sure on what stut brace it is, it came off a ep82 i believe
Ye i bend the bracket slightly so that i could fit it on, its all on now though
thanks everyone

right just had another look at it, the top tube goes to the fuel rail, i then undid the top bolt and it smells of fuel, so im guessing its the fuel filter, can this be moved or looped together?
what can i do to be able to fit the brace?
thanks

Right im attempting to fit my strut brace (front) onto my ep91 non turbo.
There is a black filter that is in the way connected to a bracket on the engine bay. It has a largeish tube coming from the top and a smaller one from the bottom that leads down to the bottom of the engine bay then dissapears.
Where can i move this to or is it not needed?
If it isnt how to i loop the two cables together?
Thanks guys

hahah it was probebly the same noobs on the saxperience foroum that were running NOS through 1.4 engines without proper set ups and weak engines etc hahaha

Hi, i recently bought a set of original speedlines.
They are 15inch, my momo alloys are 14inch, so when i take my momo alloys off and put my speedlines on, will the same bolts and bolt heads fit or do i need different ones?
Thanks guys

hi
i noticed recently somewhere on a forum that somone was considering a 5-stud conversion on a starlet
WHY?? what are the hidden/ perceived benifits of this conversion ???
is this reality yet
comment or constructive advice
lyle
tbh i dont think there is any benefit apart from maybe having a larger range of alloys to choose from, or if you have some alloys you want but only do them in 5 stud then obviously you would do the conversion, but in terms of speed, handling etc i dont think there is an advantage
However i may be wrong
-
what ofset you rekon is the best .? im in need of cheap alloys asap with good tyres,!?!?!?!
think standard offset for a starlet is ET38
-
Calm your boots mate, im digging Dan because of his "boost" comment on the saxo forum lol.
I came from n/a's aswell (had 2) so can relate easily
i no, everyone has to start somewhere, i mean im 18 and insurance quotes for me have been like 6grand or they wont insure me, I've got 5k in bank to buy a glanza but would need 11 in total for insurance etc.
-
Saxo site slagging starlets , then Starlet site slagging saxo's ? Are you 5?
Who actually cares apart from Dan in his "S" ? And the thread started back in 2009
im probebly going on a rant here, but after reading the full post on the saxo website, then seeing comments on here, i find that if you havent got a turbo car, glanza/gt, and youve got a N/A like me then your simply lower than everyone else, i cant get insured on a glanza or gt even tho i have the money to buy a mint condition one, so all im saying is just because we havent got turbo cars then stop slagging us off, especially if your a mod.

Take the bolts off your top mounts, put the brace on and put the bolts back on, simples
5 minute job
ahhh good, cant wait til it comes.

DO NOT buy those springs!!!
False advertising going on there, its more like 27mm front and 20mm rear, honest
Get some 40mm PI, or Apec, they sit well and normally settle about 50mm
i had heard bad things about them, looks like ill get some PI ones just after i get my new wheels on then. Allso how does the front strut fix onto the car? bolts?
-
cant go wrong at that price dude
deffinately, just need to get some tein s tech lowering springs now, 57mm rear and 50mm front, anyone got these?
-
bargain i have 2
could have had one if id have known lol
wel i was going to post up a thread, but when i saw that i thought i cant go wrong for £20, just needs spraying a nice red to match my engine bay now

Right, i woke up this morning to a box on my doorstep with what looked like a strut brace wrapped up and taped ontop of the box.
I thought this was strange because i havent ordered anything for the car for ages.
So i unwrapped the strut brace, only to find out it looks like the top part of the crash bar, or somehting in that region although it is quite thin.
I have no photos on me as i am at work. The headlights look like they have come from a quad as they are very square, although i cant confirm this. I havent ordered or payed for any of these items.
I no where in the country these were sent from as some reciepts and batteries were accidently left in the box.
So anyone who has sent these to me by mistake PM me and i will confirm that you sent them to me.
Merry christmas everyone
