Ideal, but because the receipt say's 'sold as seen' I'm sure that'd be enough cover for him. Sent him another message, if no good will phone him tomorow and maybe be a bit more forceful, otherwise the bats will be coming out. (haha, jokes).
-
Yeah, we both have receipts. That's what I'm thinking, and from what I've been reading 'Sold as seen' is only good for a thorough roadside inspection, such as 'Oh i don't like the colour now, can i have my money back'? Will see what he says.
-
Yeah, it sure is. Will need to keep it on the road for as long as I can really, will be hard keeping it off boost but ah well. What's a rough price to spend on a engine, 300-500? Is ebay the best bet?
-
I sent him a message to let him know what was going on, basicly asking if he'd be happy to meet me in cost and the basic response I got was 'Sorry mate, sold as seen', which is abit **** as that statement is only good for a good road side inspection. Regardless, new engine or rebuild - I didn't put any oil down to see if it was a piston or valve, will do that tomorrow and go from there. Will it be ok to drive on low boost? I can't do anything for a few weeks, still paying off what I borrowed in the first place!
-
Ah right, didn't know that. The chap I believe to be very genuine, nothing i didn't feel un comfortable with. About to give him a message, and like others say, if he's decent he'll be more than happy to meet me some where.

Stu : Will get that sorted right away! Yeah, was going to move the number plate today untill my recent problems occured! Ahwell, onwards and upwards. Cheers

Zisco exhaust mani. Jperformance exhaust decat back heat wrapped to back box. Hybrid ct9 with decat pipe runnin 0.9 bar boost. (Series 2 I believe?). Aircon removed (still have air con if buyer wants to refit it) Relocated Air filter. HDI intercooler kit with water spray kit. Bailey Dump valve. Die hard battery. Walbro 255LPH Fuel pump. Fuel regulator. HKS fuel cut defender. Forgot to mention, dads a mechanic so I've got experience and tools/ramp etc. We done a compression test and the results, (left to right, is that 1 or 4?) 1: 95 Psi 2:170 Psi 3:165 Psi 4:170 Psi Wasn't 3 that's knacker

Ideal, bought a minter. The joint that goes into the breather keeps popping out, which would explain the oil. But obviously the pressure coming out of the dipstick isn't reassuring. Borrowing a compression tester later today, will chuck some oil in to see if it improves results. I'm no expert but if it is rings/ringland is it a costy big job? I'm worried now. Cheers

Evening Not had this friken glanza a week and I'm worried I've already got problems. Popped the bonnet this evening after a journey (occasional heavy right foot etc) and on top of the rocker cover was a bit of oil, now the breather filter looks like it's partially broke anyway, but surely there shouldn't be enough pressure to blow amounts of oil like this out, blow by? Took the dipstick out and saw slight fumes blowing out.. No white smoke or mayo under cap, no loss of power etc. I'm worried as I've googled a few things and it looks like my rings could be on the way out, either that or I n

Number plate has the jets built into the back, so i'll need to remove that or move them. Will give it a shot this week! Cheers

Ha, it was only when I was driving home I realised I had stopped them from going all the way down? Back to normal now!

Howdy all Finally after a long wait I'm now a proud Glanza owner! Anyway, picked this up on Monday, only got around to sorting her out today. Haven't got any photos of what she looked like when I picked her up but there was a few stickers here and there and a few other little niggly bits. Gave her a full service today, Oil, plugs, Dizzy, Rotor arm.. Running beautiful. Spec : Lowered on Apex shocks/TRD shocks. Zisco exhaust mani. Jperformance exhaust decat back heat wrapped to back box. Hybrid ct9 with decat pipe runnin 0.9 bar boost. (Series 2 I believe?). Aircon removed (still have air c

Defiantly a fan of white V's. Top marks chap ;)

Because of the mileage? In a ideal world what would be a fair asking price? Anything I should be strongly looking out for with the current mods it's got? I see it's got a 'flamer kit' (Yeaaaaaaaaaaaa bruvv), could these cause any damage except for singed eye brows?
-
Haha, thanks. Probably sound like a right plank asking the question, but was just out of interest.

Hopefully going to look at this on Monday : What sort of BHP would that be running roughly? Not to much of a concern at this point, but just interested to know roughly. Sidenote : Anyone know is this is local to the forum, it's located in Ipswich? Cheers

Sorry for double post! For others reading who might click on the above link, stay well away. Turns out the guys an A class prick. He's changed the mileage, has got 9 days of MOT and runs out of Tax at the end of the month, and the car's a total wreck.

Thanks. Yeah i agree totally about shopping around, and I don't plan on buying any ol' crap. However, it's going to be a struggle to live with no car due to work. White one - Few problems with it, he's had a few people look at it and walk away due to problems. So that tells me that possibly he's not letting onto a few things. Silver one (First link i posted) - Spoke to the chap again, they haven't had the car long as he's now bought a VXR, they bought the car from a mechanic who carried out all the work but unfortunately the new owners don't know the names of any of the mods. But as a plu

Not alot. Doesn't know alot if i'm honest. Just seen this one, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Toyota-Glanza-V-/110...#ht_1038wt_1139 Apart from the dodgy front bumper, I believe it looks ok. Opinions? Will phone them in a min. Cheers

At the moment it's top of the list, about to ring him again and try and find out abit more.

Afternoon Pretty much on the eye out for a Glanza now, need one quick as I need a car for work. Seen this, and it's pretty close to me. http://pistonheads.com/sales/2086982.htm Anyone know the car, previous owner on here possibly? Cheers

That was absolutely effin amazing. The guy should write a book, really laughed out loud!
