  2. Hi Guys!

Im currently contemplating a Auto project, if anyone has the following can you PM me or post up please along with a price/condition.

Glanza Autobox with torque converter and Starter

    Glanza Auto ECU

    Glanza Auto engine wiring loom

    Thanks

  3. Ok firstly looking into the ignitior wiring, the following is what I can see from the ignitor pin out I have, I take it you have checked all this?

    1. ECU IGF

    2. ECU IGT

    3. IG2

    4. Diagnostics IG-

    5. Pin 2 on Coil

Have you tried a different coil/Ignitor?

Regarding the VSV's there are two, first is for the wastegate which is labelled up as VSV1,the second is for the Charcoal canister vapor I think this needs to be connected or you have to at least bridge the pins, I think this is linked to IG2......Its Pin 1 on the EP82 ecu pinout (IPV)...try to give it a 12+ signal on ignition, or connect ECU pin 1 to ignitor pin 3.

Lastly have you checked all the ecu grounds....The sensor grounds and the ECU grounds are totally seperate and can't be connected together, I would also check the engine bay wiring loom ground points making sure they are all securely attached.

Are you using a 4EFTE distributor?

  4. The Immobilser wires won't do anything once a JDM ecu has been installed, so ignore them.

I take it you have installed all the relevant sensors including the vsv that controls the fuel vapor cannister, I think if you haven't connected this, or at least sorted the pin it will stop the car from starting.

Have you checked all earth connections for the ignitor?

What Id do is get a multi-meter and re check all the wiring loom at the ECU end to there relevant locations just to make sure.

Also what ECU are you using, as the EP82 ECU is 2 plugs, and the EP91 ECU is 3 plugs?

  5. The thermostat housing on the FTE also has two extra ports which supply/return coolant to the turbo they are needed if your fitting a CT9 turbo or a water cooled turbo.

If your wiring in a knock sensor or any distributor/oxygen sensor wires remember to shield them from interference.

Im not sure about the ep91 NA ecu connectors, but have a look at them and compare them to the GT ones and see if they are the same. However the wiring will be different not way off though this is why you need a pin out of the GT/Glanza ecu and of your ecu so u can change/add/remove wires to get it all to work. Also check the fuel pump relay wiring, as on mine it was different, but im not sure about the ep91 NA

  6. Im pretty sure you will also need the FTE distributor and glanza sump or drill yours. The FTE oil filter housing use's a longer union bolt so make sure you have that to.

I did this conversion on a Corolla and used a GT ecu (due to the 2 plugs) and the stock Corolla wiring but just added the extra wires for the extra sensors, the GT ecu has 2 plugs, the Glanza ECU has 3.

  7. These don't look like speaker wires, its a earthing point for something, removing it will make something not have a ground connection i.e not work. Im guessing speaker wires will be either in a connector that isn't connected to anything, or taped down somewhere along the loom.

  8. Ive found a couple that might fit, but you will need to contact the supplier just to confirm

Check these out are listed for the earlier model starlet which I think share the same suspension.

And these list out ep91 but when u look in the title it says will fit earlier models to so contact them to.

  9. The part numbers for the fronts is 48609-10110 (earlier models) and 48609-10150 (1994-1995) according to Toyo when those numbers are searched on ebay quite a few variants come up that might work.

  10. Hi Guys

I'm after a NA starlet for my wife looking for something stock and reliable, my price bracket is £400-600 depending on condition.

If your planning on selling give me a shout, looking around the Kent and London areas but can travel further.

    Thanks
