This is my EP82 Gi ♥ I was looking for a starlet well Craig (quadcorecraig) pretty much made me look for one We had a look around on forums/auction sites to see what there was but nothing local Craig knew Idrees had just got a Gi and he was pretty in love with it himself and made him sell it me At first glance it looked like there wasnt much to fix, and looked like a good starting project. Went to see it, was really happy and excited gave him the money there and then. Managed to get it to Worksop the next day, just in time before i went on holiday and left it with Craig and friends to sort out Work that needed to be done: Change F/S wishbone - As it was bent Change N/S wing mirror - as it was bashed off and hanging from the wires Change N/S side repeater - as that was missing Change N/S rear side glass - as there was a masive gash down it Change drop link F/S drop link - as that was crushed inbetween the wishbone Ended up changing the full ARB as the Gi ARB is differnt to the GT Craig had some drop links and polly bushes to fit the GT ARB but the Gi ARB had a flat mounting point where the GT ARB has a side mounting point Refit center console and trim jumbled wires Change the alloys as 1 was smashed to bits with the impact of the crash (pics shown below) This is what she looked like when i went to view her!! Looked in abit of a sorry state but Craig reassured me that it will look lovely after abit of a fettle !! Gave it a wash! I went away on holiday for 3 weeks Craig and friends did abit of work on it while i was gone and took some pics for my build thread Fitted the mirror Pulled the bumper out Removed the AC Removed the alloy to have alook at the damage (NOT PRETTY) i have plans to get some TOM'S wheels Checked out the damage of the chassie and got away with it really well only a little bit of a chunk missing from the drive shaft pass though. The wishbone was was bent pushing back the wheel into the arch making it look worse than it was the droplink was crushed inside the wishbone. idrees sorted us out with a wishbone :] Got the new 1 fitted Now i am back from my holiday and wanted to start work on my Gi me and Craig fitted the GT ARB & links There was a big difference between both the Gi was really light and has flat mounting points where the GT ARB has side mounts This was my first MOD to to the GI as the old ARB has weak points and the polly bushes on the links :] i cleaned up my discs Borrowed some Rota slips from Craig and i stole some D1 (black) extended lug nuts from Dale (RinseEP82) Look pretty nice :] Idrees you also left this scruffy ginga dog in my car do you want it back??? Was going to re-spray front wipers, but got some better ones donated to me by Rinsepidz So just took off old rusty ones whackd on the rinse ones Also changed a broken vent which was also donated by Rinse Starting to look the part on the inside now Plans are at the moment to get it through a MOT see how that goes, then for the VIC test and then ON THE ROAD!! :] Cant wait to get driving about!!
