  1. I bought an adjustable HKS, after i had paid and everything i then realised i forgot to ask if it was the 'hole type' for the GT or, Cir-clip for my ep91.. When it arrived it was for the ct9a, Is it OK to connect the actuator arm to the wastegate using a nut and bolt, does there have to be free movenent or can i do them up tight? Im not sure whether it rotates on the pin and c-clip part(standard actuator)? Is this actually OK to do this? Help would be great Thanks, Tobie P,S , seller was great and offered a full refund if not, but i want to get this one working,
  2. Hey mate, yeah i relocated my air filter on the weekend with a 38m-51mm, it's a little tight but theres a rubber sleeve on the inlet which comes off and fits perfectly and seals nicely with jubile clip.
  3. Hey again. (Ticking/tapping noise) I did a search and found out alot of people say its the idle control valve, and you can just take it out and clean it or replace it. How do i take it part and clean it, has anyone got any pics? I'll give this a go, but deffinatly sounds lilke its coming from my fuel rail. Maybe it's just noisey injectors? Cheers, Tobie
  4. On idle i also noticed i had a small ticking/tapping noise before i did any of the above, but now i notice it's quite loud when i accelerate, and before boost even kicks in. When the bonnets open it sounds like the noise is coming from the fuel rail, does anyone know what this is or how to sort it or what to loook out for ? Just about to have a search but thought i might get some straight to the point feedback Many thanks. Tobie
  5. Hey mate, just finished mine everything is running perfect and sitting dead on 0.7. All you have to do is un-d0 the two 12mm bolts holding the actuator on, i stuck three washers in between as a temporary fix till i get my HKS, works perfect and no reason for it to ever break . Give that a go and hope it gelps. Tobie
  6. Does anyone think porting the wastegate may have anything to do with it, i personally don't think so as thats only allowing more air out, and will only help, and cut out boost creep... Right? Tobie
  7. Ahh right okie doke . May have to do the cheap fix for the time by sticking two washers on the bolt holding the actuator so it increases it, should be ok till i get HKS shouldn't it? Ahh Wales thats a misson haha, especially with 0.5bar haha, will be pathetic . But come to reading on Tuesday i think it is for the monthly meet there?
  8. I've still got the standard actuator on. Is there a way of adjusting that slightly or will i have to get an adjustable one? Thanks for the quick replies, wanna sort this tomorrow Tobie
  9. Hey everyone, Just finished round the garage after fitting my new Zisco manifold/downpipe, and relocating my air filter to behind the bumber... Everything looked and went smooth apart from a small blow from the downpipe to centre section, due to not having a gasket so that will be tomorrow. Then went for a test drive and noticed it was only boosting to 0.5... I ported the wastegate slightly to compensate much more air going in to help stop boost creep (this had a small crack, quite minute). and fitted all new gaskets. I still have original actuator, bypass solenoid and removed the low boost
  10. Ahh right, just read it... Have you no imort papers or anything with it? If its a UK spec obviously it wont, but i got all the export/import papers saying when it was imported. Have a look through your paper work if you have any.
  11. What do you need to know the history on that Chassis number Sam? lol. also do you have to pay for the hpi check on ebay ralph?
  12. I also need to know what power steering fluid is best to use? Tobie
  13. Thats exactly what mine looks like mate, but that photo also has the stock pipe for the air filter. When you relocate you remove the stock piping, but i don't know where/what to do with the hosing, it connects to a metal pipe which looks to go into the side of the engine/turbo :S. My mate has relocation but doesnt have the metal pipe going into the side? hmmm. I'll go and grap a pic of the side in a sec. James@CJ: Should i not be worried about water/crap getting into the tube if i just vent it into the atmosphere? Thanks for the replys guys.
  14. Hey everyone. I had a fiddle with the car today, i've ordered some parts to relocate my air filter. But i came across this peice of hosing which is mounted onto the stock pipe. Obviously im going to remove this stock pipe when i relocate the air filter, but what do i do with this? I know it's to do with the 1st 2nd gear restrictions, but don't know wether it's ok to unplug or what. Help would be great! *Bit surrounded by blue* Thanks, Tobie

  19. Anyone know if the Bluewater meet is tonight?
  20. Mines not a hybrid or tongs, so didn't really help haha . Are the hybrid inlets not the same as standard CT9's? I double checked with Dave@TM and he confirmed it is 38mm, which i thought it was. But thanks for the replys , Tobie
  21. I have standard CT9, what size piping would i need...38mm-51mm silcone elbow from turbo? The air filter im using is connected to the original pipe, and sits just in front of the tmic... What size is this, so i can get the correct alloy pipe? ;) Thanks, Tobie
  22. I did this to mine one evening last week, results were amazing! Only thing i have some condensation on the silver part inside on one of the lights, anyone know if this can be taken out and cleaned? Tobie
