To help with the heat was it....... Where have the cool wheels gone ? Oh wait they don't fit now do they haha 😂

hey these wheels are cool too 😅

  2. Small update after getting more into trackdays last year and hitting up the donnington gp circuit, Silverstone gp, spa gp and a few laps of the ring my ksports were in bad need of a refresh, light heat marks all over the discs and pads completely gone, went for ebc blue stuff pads, gave the  brake discs a go over with a on car brake disc lathe (never seen these before video is mesmerising) cleaned up the rear discs and fitted some ebc pads with new rbf 660 brake fluid throughout.

I think I'm going to have to add in some brake ducts as I'm obviously way too hard on them, have already gone up a wheel size to try and help cool them slighy, had considered a brake bias valve so that the rears are slightly more involved too, going to send off some spare rear calipers to be refurbished and painted a similar colour to the ksports next also add similar looking grooved rear discs, pics to follow.

Hi mate, great thread, I saw your track day footage on Facebook which lead me to here. I was looking for bhp figures and turbo set up are you running CT9 at 1 bar? Also do you ever find your k sports to be quite spongey? I don’t find mine extremely sharp not what I expected for 6 pots. Maybe I need to give them a overhaul.

    Hi,

Nope I'm running a billet td04 from tuning developments on mine

Check your fluid levels if mine isn't just under max they can feel spongy and change the fluid regularly if you use them hard like me 🙈

    Looks awesome more pictures required

thank you, I will get some more up got well over 1000 pictures on my phone from the 13 years I've owned it 😅

  4. Anyone ever fitted a brake bias valve? I've got ksport 6 pots up front, rear brakes seem to do next to nothing wonderd if it was worth looking into

  5. Popped over the the ring for the first time last year after my trackday at Spa and recorded some footage (definitely room for improvement) throughly enjoy it and would fully recommend going if you've not been before started a you tube channel and have stuck some lap footage in from each circuit I've been too for anyone interested :)

  6. Thanks guys

So after a few years and some good usage brakes were looking pretty tired so I got the new style set, got in there just before the price increase so happy days. Unfortunately the clearance is worse than the old style, if you look at the pics the bleed nipple is so close to the wheel I couldn't even run the dust covers ha, it meant I had to sell not only my Ray's group nrs wheels but also my advsn sa3r my prodrive were the only wheels I had that I could use sad times

    Wow that looks properly smart!

    Thanks calum

Few before and after pics of my old brake setups

Standard brakes when I got the car were absolute shite

upgraded to grooved and dimpled discs ebc yellow sruff pads braided lines and performance fluid (still shite)

Went for some 6 pot k sports with ferodo ds2500 pads and motul rbf 600 fluid by far the best mod I've done to this car really gives you the confidence to push when you know you can stop!

I've since changed again now to the new style ksports pics to follow

Nice car but what happend to the rear lip?

I went for a side exit exhaust so there was a cut out where the exhaust should be which looked shite so I cut up my rear lip and designed and made a diffuser to sit in there, also drilled a massive hole in my front bumper 🙈
