  1. so the other day i didnt have enuff coolant in the tank and my car overheated. so as an emergency i filled up on some asda coolant and since then the temp is not moving from cold. it doesnt warm up at all. does anyone knw wa the prob is??? apparently its nothin to do with coolant types. i flushed out the rad and topped up asda stuff again and its still cold. im guessin its thermo but it was fine before the over heating???
  2. ahhh wikid guys, safe for that pic! v helpful.
  3. so the blue 90 degree pipe goes straight into that hole?
  4. this might be a bit of a silly question but where do i put my relocation kit? do i have to take out the whole efi pipe?? and then put the relocation lot in its place or do i cut the efi pipe?
  5. thanks for the quick reply. is it the non air con power steering belt that goes from alternator?
  6. Hi guys, I wana remove my air con which i have half done so far. only thing left is the actual pump! but before i do this do i need a non air con belt? or can i just take it off? cheeers
  7. dont up the boost on a standard spec, your just looking for problems. u cud port the manifold and then run up to a bar but u need to stop fuel cut.
  8. wikid, i think thats what i will do then. stick a td04 on and keep it running smooth at about 0.8 bar. what else wud i need to do this on top of mani and decat? thnks for your help dude.

I've got a dastek aswel, not fitted though! u need to take it to someone who has a license to fit them.. leme know how much it costs u !! good luck
  10. so i can do what i said then and it wont fuck nothin up??
  11. ye mate i checked that out, very useful indeed . i just dont wana waste money doing up the ct9 when i can just go straight to td04. i could get the mani and decat mild steel for 160 and then the turbo.. and then jus keep it under fuel cut?? i dont see the point in spending 300 - 400 quid on ct9 mods when u cud make it just as fast this way for cheaper??? obv i wont thrash it about but for motorway td04 is defoo much better.
  12. thanks for the replies and stuff.. but i ws just wondering cudnt i just fit the mani and decat and tdo4 turbo and keep it restricted to 0.8 bar until i save up for a decent remap? or is there other stuff I HAVE to do.
  13. basically i didnt know how expensive it was to get the ecu and map set up! I've got a dastek unichip piggyback but this is gonna cost around 300 quid to setup apparently! i was hoping it would just need a slight tweek or i could run the same mods as the guy who had that ecu before me and it wud cost me like 100 quid or something. i wanted to go straight td04 now i might wait.
  14. well my mates got same prob on his paseo and corolla.. I've sprayed the throttle cable and the metal spring thing.. il try loosenin bolt.
  15. i know this is a common problem on toyotas.. basically its the first initial press down on the pedal which is stiff and then its fine. but that stiff push is so annoying as it burns the clutch and gives a shit drive. I've wd40'd the throttle but still not luck.
  16. thanks for the advice mate, 300 quid is alot for setting that up!!
  17. even if that means going for the toyosports mani and decat? wudnt i need to spend a shit load on settin up the ecu??
  18. yee i knw what u mean mate, if only i had the spare cash! so anti freeze and tyres whatelse dyu rekon wud go bust in the winter
  19. so basically the plan was to td04 my glanza over the nex couple weeks and im kinda hesitant to do it now. i was only gona do it on a budget. all i need is manifold and decat (toyosports mild steel) and oil line. i have actuator, tdo4, piggyback dastek ecu. at the moment the car has exhaust, fmic, bov... im thinking shall i jus get it up to 170ish by porting mani, decating, porting wastegate?? what would u do if u were in my shoes... its winter aswell i wna be safe and reliable.
  20. fffuuuck mate, that doesnt look nice at all!! glad to see your alright. winter isnt the best time, just gota drive sensibly with discipline. im just dreading breaking down ...
  21. the piggyback is already setup just need to adjust it a bit to the setup i would have. i thought it would only cost me 100 quid or so down at the dyno guys? im having second thoughts about doing the conversion now, its winter aswel not the best time to do it. plus i was gona go for toyosports and some people tellin me to stay away from them! maybe i should stick with the ct9??!? it would be more reliable i guess.
  22. With the weather getting ridiculously cold over the past few days I thought we could post up some top tips on how to avoid gettin into 'd up situations this winter!! For starters my heater doesnt seem to be working very well and my car struggled to start this morning! With motorway driving in the early mornings I think im gonna change a few bits and bobs (battery, alternator, maybe the fuel filter too). What dyu guys think anything you need to change to make sure the starlet doesnt let u down this winter?
  23. ok soo then its not actually that expensive at all then isit?? all i need is mild steel manifold and decat off ebay for 170 and then the td04 turbo and oil lines. isit worth doinn????!!!??? i could prob get it done on budget 300 quid?? also whats a td04 gonna be like in winter with mad cold mornings and shitty weather???
