ill probs go for the 10 40 then...although i originally meant 5 40 not 5 50 in my first post....is semi or fully synth best?
And ah i see...Ill probs go for that then or some schutz spray on version? My mechanic has said i can use the ramp and his gun etc so will it be okay to do it in a few weeks inside a garage?
i use semi synthetic.. , fully synthetic will be the evan better stuff
as for underseal i personally thing the spray on makes a mess as it sprays all over.. so i normally paint it on with a soft paint brush!
jus mke sure the underbody is fully dry n clean before u start painting..
not a hard task really!
i did mine on ''axle stands'' took me a full week on a proper professional job.. the finish is very neat!

Hi guys!
as above how to remove brake shield/cover whch is behing the brake discs ?
Thanks!
-
Ah really? I thought fully synth was better on an FI engine, but I will listen to the more knowledgable haha, iirc 10-40 is thicker when cold but the same when warm as 5w-40? As long as the 10-40 is fine i'll use that? Is it vital I get the most expensive brand or is the decent ranged comma stuff any good?I've used synerg fully synth in my old car?
As for the underseal, that what I was thinking of doing, is it easy to get all the dust and muck off with degreaser or panel wipe?
and is that the hammerite underbody seal with added waxoyl?Im a bit reluctant about the fact it never dries and can crack but I dunno if there is anything better? Maybe schultz
10w-40 millers oil is wht i use it's really good tbh!
as for underseal give the underbody a really good clean with a soft brush & degreaser using a towel thts wht i do with all my cars lol
underseal with added waxoil is probs the best stuff around.. ive been using it for over 5 years now.. it never cracks at all
-
most people normally use semi synthetic 10w-40 oil
ive undersealed mine last week actually.. i degreased n wire brushed where there was any rust.. & painted on 2 coats of underseal-waxoil
usually one coat is enough tho

anyone had any experiences with them before or know there delivery time ?

i see this car everyday..
this car is local to me, well i know the guy a little.. tbh its not as mint as it looks..

yeah you can remove all of the front one (cylinder bush) and keep the crush tube on and the washers in a safe place....ask them not to coat the crush tube tho seems best if you dont and your good to go
[/quote
wicked!
Nice one bro...
-
ahh then in that case i hope you havent cut off the rear crush tube iirc you still need it....along with the round/halfmoon washer
oh.. think i'l leave the rear crush tube on there n only remove the half moon washer
then get the wishbones powder-coated ?
Thanks for the advice bro..
appreciated
-

You can get rid of it all, EXCEPT the round/halfmoon shaped washer for the rear of the wishbone you will need this when putting the antilift kit on....assuming you are?
Ok sounds straight foward then..
BUt i wont be usung a "lift kit"
Basically i'm upgrading to poly bushes only
Thanks bro

thnks for your comments
my bad.. i'm actually referring to the both wishbone bushes actually..
ive had the both bushes removed from a garage
bushes removed- now i jus need to know if i pop the front bush ring out to remove the (thin rubber with ring around it)
will i need to reuse this again after i have the wishbones powder-coated ??
or can i buy some new ones from ??
Thanks!
-
as above i've removed standard front wishbone bushes.. as i'm fitting poly-bushes
question is how do i remove inner front metal tube as that also has a small lip rubber on it too ???
, as i will be having these wishbones powder-coated which will go in a very hot oven to bake so dont want to ruin anything..
i'm sure some people on here hav had thres powdercoated wht did u do ?
Thanks!

Thanks for your input guys!

make sure your gripping the metal bit not the rubber should come undone
ive tried all sorts but the 14mm bolt & the washer bit on the other side just spin freely
also these are very rusty
