I don't think you should use just the filter. You'll have oil all over your bay again, not to mention the fire hazzard. A decent baffled catch can, plumbed properly, is designed to 'catch' this oil and filter it out of the air being recirculated to the inlet mani. This is not bad for your engine in anyway, unless you never empty it the yes you could hydro lock your eng. And in fact would be much better for you emissions too.

Anymore info on this yet, I'm keen to do these bushes but need to be sure I'm using the appropriate parts.

Hey guys, I've searched and found a fair amount of info on cold air intakes, no surprise really. But I've found no insight on where to get the feed from other than,squeeze it between the radiator and bumper. I plan to drill out the bottom of the stock box and smooth out the inside, but not sure where I'll run my piping to. I have ac on mine and kinda like it so not getting rid of it. This takes up most of the extra room around the rad. Can anyone offer any ideas or even pictures. Thanks heaps. And I just realised I've put this in the wrong section, my bad.
