i need a drivers side door and a passengersw side wing and a set of mirrors in metalic silver. Im going to get the silver starlet on the road, then im going to build an engine (a very nice engine at that) to drop into steves old shell. Well thats the plan, im still reading and learning at the moment but its going to be 200bhp ++ cheers Steve

Okies, right im going to flush and drop my oil whats oil does everyone use and what filter should i use? just had a look on ebay and there's hks and blitz ones on there are they any better than the cheaper ones or is an oil filter just an oil filte,, cheers Steve

just found this project and read through it and........................................omfg this will be a flying machine, i wish i had the funds to do a project like this. I've always wanted to get a bike enginge in the back of a fiat 126, anyway good luck with the project mate and i'll be keeping an eye on this. Steve

LOL..............i have engine in the silver starlet, im going to fix it up and run it untill funds become available to sort the white on out.

Just been looking at a few pictures of members cars and was wondering "whats the best way to clean your engine bay". Wouldn't mind a few products recomending or tips. Im guessing it's best to cover a few parts up if a water hose is going to be used. Cheers Ssteve

yep brother in laws old car, he always looked after it untill a jeep went into the side of itm it took ages for insurance claim to go through and i think he lost intrest in it. the engines in desperate need of a service...............anyway they lots of usefull pasrts on it. tbh i don't know weather to repair the bodywork on silver GT or swap the engine to the white one but i near enough promised steve id get the white one up and runing and after all the silver GT is a cast D not that im planing selling anytime soon though. cheers Steve

okies, thanks it was stressfull trying to sort out transport for the car i only managed to sort a car transporter out at the last min otherwise i would have had to collect a towing dolly from market rasen on the way there, i don't supose you have the adapators for the locking wheel nuts?, im currently trying to get the money together to buy the silver starlet pictured (it's on my drive at the moment). I should have your shell up and runing within a month (if all goes acording to plan). Anyway ill keep pictures and updates coming. Cheers Steve

Thanks for all the info, the silver starlets been hit at the side (drivers door and rear quarter) and also at the front passenger side. It's not mine as yet i gotta try and get the money together for it. I guess the projects all riding on weather i can aquire it or not. If not im going to have to try and source an engine and box from somewere else? cheeers Steve

just had a quik read through, cheers...i still don't know why the engine got pulled out of it though?

I don't know why the engine was taken out, im presuming it was tuned up to a decent standard, judging by the bumper cut out there must have been a fmic fitted?
