Cheers for the good comments folks Had an unexpected find at the scappies today, went with a mate who needed some bits for his car and we came across a splitter from another car that, with a little fettling and fine tuning, will be just perfect. On my phone right now but pics of test fit to follow!!

Hopefully I can find a solution, I might just give it a go and see what happens. If not I'll just remove it all together

If you want proper "JDM" size plates then it's 13x7. Most people just get 12x6. That's what I did

No doubt this has already been covered but I used the search and came up a blank. Sorry if it has. Not long bought a wee N/A Starlet and I'd like to tidy up the back end a wee bit. I don't like how the rear wiper sits up (vertically) on the rear window. I wondered if it was possible to remove the wiper, switch the polarity on the motor and replace the wiper arm the opposite way so the wiper lays flat (horizontally) on the window and then when it comes on, it works in the opposite direction? If this is not possible has anyone used any other solutions like using the wiper from different car? Thanks in advance

Another update - Springs arrived today so with the help of a mate, we got them fitted. Was a fairly straight forward job but it's left me wanting wheels asap!! Lowered on 40mm springs -

Plans are to fit the lowering spring and 12x6 plates if they show up for this weekend. Then I'm going to save for some 15" wheels and then see where it takes me from there. I don't want a Glanza rep but I do fancy front and rear bumpers and lights in the future

Aye the jdmy0 sticker is from another car forum I'm on. My mate helps run it and had the sticker lying around. Cheers There is a few bumps and dents but it's in no too bad a shape for the age

Picked this up for a monkey at the weekend If the guy I bought it from put in the effort and gave it a clean and polish like I did when I got home, he might have got another £100 out of me!! - The bodywork is a bit tired as you'd expect with a 12 year old car but the sills and arches don't have a spot of rust on them. Mechanically the car seems sound also but there is a small leak which I think is coming from the oil filter not being tight enough. It looks fairly new so will take this off at the weekend, clean it all up and try fitting it tighter. I have some subtle plans for this car but progress will be as fast as funds will allow and I will attempt to do most of the work myself. Hi folks As above I'm a new member from Scotland, my name is Keith and I'm based in Fife. I thought I'd say hi and show you all my new toy. Until recently I had a Honda Civic Coupe Vti but I sold that as it was becoming too expensive to run. After paying some bills, I was left with enough to pick up something cheap and cheerful to run and have some fun with I had considered a smaller engined Civic but got thinking It would just be another Civic, just like all the rest so went on the hunt for something a wee bit different and still quite fun and nippy. I came across this and It seemed to tick the boxes so I went to see it. It's a 1999 Sportif (I think?), poverty spec and was looking very rough and sorry for itself but I saw potential as the arches and sills were in really good condition so made an offer and took it home with me. A few hours spent washing and machine polishing got it looking like this - I have a few plans for it when funds allow and I intend to share my progress here Ordered - 12x6 plates 40mm lowering springs
