  1. John asked for a refund after you, you requested a refund at 7:44pm on the 19th, John posted after you at about 8pm I believe, the fuel rail thread had started to get out of control early afternoon on the 19th when Lew91 decided that because someone had posted up pictures with a ruler claiming the mounting holes were in the wrong place(which is incorrect as the measurements were being taken from the edge of the injector holes not the centre)that he was not going to provide me with the information I'd asked for

  2. just seen the harnesses bit, if you have no seat belts or isofix then you won't be able to fit a seat, it is a legal requirement for all children to travel in the correct seat for their weight/height until they are 12 years old or 135cm tall which ever comes sooner

  3. Safest place for children under 12 is the back seat, there's no definite age for front seat if their car seat will fit(and I think you'll struggle to get anything to fit with bucket seats) If you have an active passenger airbag you cannot use a rearward facing child seat on that seat as if the airbag deploys it will cause serious harm. Forward facing seats in a passenger seat with an airbag aren't great either as the force that an airbag deploys with can cause injury to a child.

This page gives information on the laws http://www.childcarseats.org.uk/law/index.htm

If your child is in a rear facing seat I wouldn't rush to turn them forward facing though, children under 4 are 5 times safer rear facing in a frontal collision. This is because a child's head is heavier in comparison to it's body than an adults, in an accident the force will throw the child's head forward which can stretch their spines beyond the length of their spinal cord, this causes the spinal cord to snap, it is known as internal decapitation. Some more info here http://www.rearfacing.co.uk/

  4. There seems to be some confusion here, at this time the fuel rail issue is being investigated which was stated in the thread before it got out of hand, so far we've had confirmation that 2 rails have tried to be fitted, one of those was fitted with no issues and is running(awaiting more information from this customer) the other had issues, we were awaiting information from that customer but this information has still yet to be given. Again as stated in the original thread we are waiting to test fit a selection of the fuel rails to a running engine which will hopefully happen early next week.

In regards to the anti lift kit, because the fuel rail thread got so out of hand people became concerned and requested refunds for the anti lift kits, so we have put in a request to cancel the order to try and keep those people happy.

The clutches have been tested to the figures given in the group buy thread, they are uprated mark 1 supercharged MR2 4AGE clutches so well within the requirements for a sub 300bhp starlet. The fitment for these just so happens to be the same as a starlet, they were fitted to Ryans car so that we were 100% sure on the fitment before releasing them and to get some feedback on the driveability on a daily driver. We have no reason to doubt the manufacturers testing data so further testing in the UK by ourselves to verify the manufacturers testing data would be of no further benefit.

  5. thing I do not get is here.. i dont want to get involved but i cant sum it up

you been a trader and seemed it was doing OK..

why just go OFF it on the fuel rails and loose your whole trading business over it??

why did it not stay calm and get it sorted and jobs a good un!

only reason for anger is you must of known you where in the wrong so you got all defensive about it !

    hmmm

every one was just concerned as they paid alot of money and parts do not fit and wanted a answer! simples

kno how frustrating it can be when parts dont fit and you use your car everyday!

Because we were trying to deal with the issue and get a resolution, Lew91 refused to cooperate, people who hadn't even bought a fuel rail decided to pipe up with every single minor issue they had ever had with us, most of these issues were where we had offered a resolution and they had accepted, so why bring it up? Then people complaining about stuff that had happened months ago but they'd never even told us about it.

That thread should have been locked whilst we worked on a resolution and prevented all of this. Then people making up fake accounts and posting libelous statements, making threats against my family, so I'm trying to deal with all that, and get to the bottom of the fuel rail issue when the customer is refusing to cooperate, why bother even attempting to save the business, we were never in it for the money, the business had started as we were fed up of seeing parts with a 700% mark up just because it was for a starlet

  6. Asad, we ourselves weren't even aware that people were still having pulley issues, Shorty for example had never contacted us to say there was a continuing issue after being machined and we'd had feedback from others that has been machined to say they were spot on.

Communication issues did arise after I became ill last year which meant James' time became very stretched, it was something we were trying to deal with by asking Ryan Lang to help out.

  7. do not see why he turned to the hulk all of a sudden tbh........

When you have children of your own you come back and tell me if you'd of reacted differently if someone had threatened to 'come and get' them whilst you slept!!!!!!!!

I'm answering PM's as quickly as I can, can I please remind people I need the paypal transaction ID to find your payment as stated by Socks in the original post.

Phil have you not received your pulley?

  8. Hi, there are a lot of people now running the re-machined pulley that came from the first batch(including a member of admin) you were advised to look in to having it machined local to you due to your location being overseas. You advised us it would cost you in excess of £100 in machining to have it done by your engine builder and we asked if there were any other way of having it machined by someone else as that price seemed rather high considering we pay only a few pounds locally as it can be done by any machine shop with a lathe as it's a very simple adjustment.

If you would like to discuss this further can you please PM me.

In regards to the coilovers, as stated above they are on route and will come with the 2 year warranty

  9. Hi John,

That is the process that would have been followed once we had ruled out the more basic things that could have been at fault with the rail i.e the spacers but we were still waiting for that information. I am in no way trying to say we are blameless in this at all, just trying to understand why our treatment has been so different to other traders.

Did you get my PM from the 20th? As I haven't had a reply and also in that message I asked you to deal with me and let James calm down but you made several attempts to contact him via facebook yesterday(the 21st)

  10. Steve the thread was in the lifestyle general section where neither myself nor James have/had moderation rights, the thread was started on the 15th and closed by Socks on the 20th, more than 1 moderator posted on the thread.

Our issue is that previously when other traders have had an issue like this the threads have been locked much quicker and help offered to mediate with the customer to come to a resolution, just would like to know why that didn't happen this time. When someone gets a chance could they forward me a copy of the trader rules/guidelines as I can no longer access the trading hub so can't check them myself

  11. Steve, I believe it was the thread about the fuel rails that was ongoing for several days whilst we were waiting for some details from Lewis and awaiting another test fitment of the rails here before deciding on next steps. I know previously threads like these were locked to give the trader a chance to complete their promised actions.

Clutches are still going ahead as already completed

  12. We haven't stocked the type that came in the lime green for quite some time now(1 year+?) The green was one of the most popular colours so there might be some sets around second hand. As far as I know no one else does green ignition leads :(

  13. What do you mean shut?

Just fitted another one up now will get some pictures up, we've had at least one customer who has confirmed they have fitted theirs and run the car with no issues, this is the only contact we've had with issues and are still awaiting the information to confirm if it is the spacer height that is causing the issue(as the height of the spacer will affect the angle the rail sits at which will affect how the mounting holes line up which can affect the way the injectors sit which will mean they don't seal correctly)

  14. So you've already got a converter fitted so your original clocks now read in mph instead of kph? But the dials you have are the ones that go up to 110mph(so will read the correct mph with original non-converted kph clocks)

Our dials would work with your set up, they come with both mph and kph faces both up to 180, so require you to have a converter fitted already if you want to use the mph face

  15. So it's getting the right angle so the injectors sit in properly? This was the issue we had with the original sample and was why we had to alter the design which caused delays with getting them here. Slight discrepancies on each head mean the angle is ever so slightly different on each car, we test fitted on 5 different heads here(all with slight differing angles of fitment) and the range of angle for fitment was more than sufficient on those.

When you say it's blowing fuel from the injectors is it the head side or the rail side?
