  1. Hey bud,I'd say gud port, the port throat to valve seats are terribly mismatched in these heads, not a whole pile you can do with the combustion chambers, their pretty gud,jus a bit of deshrouding around the valves, lap in the valves, don't forget to change the valve stem seals,gt valve springs are loads better,FHE cams and shims,AICS manifold if you had some way of turning on off at 3800rpm,obx or similar manifol, saxo 8v 4 branch ex manifold looks like it wud fit nicely with 4e head flange!!??Round light corolla pistons AE110 are much higher comp than any of the other 4e pistons that I hav seen,Gt
  2. Hallo moite,I'm usin GSXR 600 K3 throttle bodies on my 5E-FHE,they space lovely with two threaded bars, using alloy trumpets that taper from 60mm to 40mm,the throttle bodies, taper from 38mm to 34mm and the ports are 30mm when converted to a circle on paper so it works out perfect I rekon, only problem is the throttle pos sensor operates the opposite way but this is a small issue, also a civic D series fuel rail is the perfect spacing to use as a takeoff for the vacuum to the servo off the injector holes and polishes up nicely!!
  3. tackling this at d mo with a 5E-FHE,wiring is fairly terrible,no diagrams so going off pin-outs on inside of ecu and splicing both looms, have an uprated fuel pump in engine bay with old astra f plastic fuel pipes from tank as carb ones r way too skinny, cud jus get an injected tank though, try to get the whole loom and fuseboxes from donor car if you can,I couldn't which made the whole operation a pain, stick at it though, will be some fun wen finished!!
  4. Hallo,I turboed an FHE in an EP82 and that was fine, used the standard loom and ecu just changed a couple of sensors cus the plugs were different, changed the sump, pickup and oil filter housing and injectors for 4E-FTE items,u'll have to drill and tap the block for the filter housing locating bolts or get a filter relocation kit which is much better,if you use the EP82 ecu and loom you will loose the AICS function so better to go for 4E-FTE inlet manifold, yes you will need the 82 distributor and coil, standard ported ex manifold for meantime with CT9 and blitz cast de-cat will see you happy and c
  5. Cracked it open, all the labels are there, wasn't sure about the 12pin plug as its seperate from the engine loom and didnt want to take any chances adding power to BATT or +B etc like similar pinouts as this is a rare ecu and didnt fancy toasting it,so this is just fantastic, motivation is rekindled so goin crakin into it tomorrow, got some used sticky 225/45/13's for it today and pickin up a G6 6spd box with a chewed diff tomorrow to ponder over, keeps me happy !!
  6. This could be a breakthrough for me,I'll check tonight, thanks very much bud, appreciate that bud !!
  7. Hallo fellas,I really need help with this one!Have an EP80 that I've dropped a 5E-EFHE out of a 96(I think!)AICS Cynos into.Thats all well and good but the starlet was 1E so went splicing looms together and swapping round pins in the fusebox plugs but have no spark or injector pulse!Did all this by tracing wires and using common sense because theres no wiring diagrams or ecu pinouts for this model anywhere on the net or autodata etc cus tis the 3 plug model and manual, theres pinouts for the auto alrite and for the 2 plug versions.Dont have the donor car either to consult either which is a pain
