  1. Back on all fours for now very much lower than she was!!!
  2. Did some more on Saturday. Took the standard tank and fitted my new injection pump and baffle. Bit tricky to line it up but got there in the end. Thats the unit. It came in kit form and you cut it to size and install the 255l ph walbro pump that is supplied. Standard tank with sender un bolted. I had to cut the monting ring off for that. Next was to mark the tank with the new sender moounting plate Drilled the holes around the new sender hole for mounting and then washed it out many times!! Luckily the 4 1/2 inch hole was big enough I was able to get my arm in to make sure
  3. g14nza supplied me with some calipers at a good price. No problems with sale etc just thought I would post trading experience with him
  4. Did a little bit more tonight. Had to modify the rear calipers slightly as the handbrake cable bracket hit the strut. This is because the axle is.narrower than the ep82 one. Got the fuel tank ready to modify with a retrofit baffle and in tank pump.
  5. If that is kev jewell then yes. Only remember marks name not his boys. it came from ferndown area about 8 months ago. Why do you ask. To be honest i dont know just see how it sits!!
  6. Lip is 25mm then about another 10mm where it drops down to the bead. Offset is ET35
  7. Think they are 7j et38 got a 10mm spacer as well to clear front calipers. i will check tomorrow on the offset.
  8. Did a dry run fitting of the new wheels on the rear tonight. Had a bad day with work so not doing anymore tonight as things are bound to go wrong!!!
  9. Im glad you said that. expect numerous pms.!!! i notice on your brakes you have a valve in the vaccum pipe to the servo. mine is just a short pipe to the inlet manifold maybe that is making a difference.
  10. Wiring was removed complete from 82. i have opened the loom. and removed all ancillary wiring so left with engine loom only i hope!! Plan to just solder feeds to original barrel and hide all extra relays away behind dash or in original ep70 fusebox
  11. Piccy of the engine in the hole
  12. Right found the early pics of the car. just before I took it all apart Started to take it apart The worst rust on the body was at the bottom of both a pillars, cut the outer skin off both at the bottom and let new metal in. Nothing major though. Rest of the body was only surface rust really. Oh and here is the doner car!!
  13. Just thought I would throw a random picture in of my last project I did. The blue MK5 Cortina is my one and the Granada is a friends that we rebuilt last year together.
  14. I just copied the routing of the EP70 brake pipe layout. Just had to change one pipe from the 82 between the master and 4 way block on the bulkhead as the ep70 was too short. I have ordered a boltt in unit from usa which has a baffle/collector built in the bottom of it. It needs 6 inch clearance and the tank has 7 inches from the old pickup mounting. The unit comes with a 255 lph walbro pump mounted inside and a return and vent. Hope it works!!
  15. To be honest his videos have been quite helpful. I have put discs on the rear which I m not sure if he did and will be running a standard tank not a fuel cell. Other than that I think it is very similar, oh and I cant afford his front brake upgrade either. lol
  16. I have now put some pics up in the blog section. Mike when I ordered the brakes you said you wanted to see the car, now you can!!
  17. Just a few piccys to get started Earlier pics still on old phone i will get them up soon. Started out as 46k mile granny spec 1e in off white as many years of not being cleaned had took hold. Drove it like that for 6 months then started the strip and modify!!! Half painted at the minute in the brightest white I could find with gloss black roof.
