    ep82 gearbox

Need a gearbox for an ep82. My one was rebuilt supposedly I drove it 5 miles and it started to leak from the diff seal. Bought new seals and went to fit them to find the diff floats around all over the place and the casing has split open in loads of places around the driveshaft hole, obviously the shaft trying to beat its way out!!! Unfortunately it was rebuilt 2+ years ago and I never got it fitted or used till now!! So after a good turbo box with no crunches etc. Can arrange a courier or will collect if local enough (Dorset) Thanks
  2. Sorry got to pull out. I wont be making it with the car this year
  3. Ep70 axle. Ep82 has different length arms .
  4. Std disks on the rear from a mk1 ep82. You have me worried now. Still got the 82 axle so am going to strip the disc off and remeasure it. Fronts are ebc drilled grooved with yellow stuff pads again with ep82 calipers.
  5. I did measure and all matched up. Was a straight forward swap over
  6. The servo is physically bigger so pushes against the cable but it does make a massive difference to the brakes having the larger servo. You need to change one of the pipes to it as well from the gt as the position has moved. Its only a short pipe on bulkhead
  7. No I was waiting for Andy for 3 months. Really annoying as did a deal with him and I had already done my bit of the deal. Win some lose some I suppose. Why were you not happy with yours??
  8. Got it mapped at power engineering in uxbridge adam. Bored of waiting for the original person to arrange it to be done. Bloke called zak up there did it. Was impressed with him and his openness about mapping in general
  9. Taxed it today and went for its first proper blast. Really impressed with it. Bit smokey when letting off the power. I presume turbo seals are past their best. Engine and turbo are both unknown quantities really so to be expected I suppose. I did bottle it at 120mph though it felt a bit twitchy!!!
  10. Just having a reread through this. Didn't mention it is now running Omex 600 not standard ecu. I made the loom up for it all. ecu inside the car. battery in the boot. I got a lower arm bar and strut brace from TD for it.
  11. Mot done yesterday and first drive in it to the mot. Real shame the weather is not good as it just spun up constantly. The brakes are good though. Get it cleaned up this week as its been in a dusty workshop now for nearly two years . Then I will put some more pics up
  12. Finally got it mapped Standard ct9 @.9bar of boost Im quite happy with that
  13. Spoke to Mike at TD and he said it should sit flush. So opened up the holes slightly in the cap and sealed it. Will try again tomorrow and see if it still leaks!
  14. I have a 4efte engine Cranked it over to get oil pressure before setting up for initial start and had a massive leak from the cam cap onto the cambelt. I have tried RTV sealant around the seal at the end and that stopped that bit but it still seems to come over the top of the carrier. I have noticed the cap does not sit flush with the head face because of the dowels, is this correct?? Dont want to go mad the the RTV sealant and cause other problems Thanks for advice that Im sure will follow!!!!!
  15. I got a box from rally design a bit cheaper. Power leads from local motor factor with a ring on one end and some battery terminals
  16. The lights are not on the rcd side . If the rcd had tripped you would loose sockets as well. Unlikely it is the mcb. It is more likely the light you turned on when it switched off is the problem. Ensure all downstairs lights are off. Try and reset mcb. If that fails still turn off double red switch far right and remove the single wire from the mcb that is tripping out. Power it backup and see if it stays on. If it dosent then mcb is knackered. If it does then a wiring fault in the house somewhere. But I will also say you should not be in the consumer unit with no knowledge. It can kill.
  17. As per title, looking at going standalone with my ep70 so need a 4 wire TPS and throttle body and also a length of the wire with connector if possible Cheers
  18. Is that an ep82 one or ep70 specific, is there a difference. I see ultra racing do a lower arm bar for ep70/72 so may ask td get one if they are different
  19. Have u got an arb on your one or sway bar or nothing?? Think i will make some plates up to move mounting position forward to fit it if u think its needed. It will bring the mountong lower though dont know if that will affect it at all
  20. Tried to fit an ep82 front anti roll bar today as well but discovered the mounts are about an inch backwards. Not really sure it needs it anyway
