So replaced me external wastegate spring before i was hitting .68 on my boost controller but was just running it on wastegate spring pressure as my car has been off the road for 6 weeks i decided to go for a 1.2 bar spring ! was back on road yesterday took it out and im now hitting .72 so my boost has gone up but not by enough ! i was speaking to my 2 mates who are mechanics and jap car enthusiasts too and they said it might be down to exhaust leak? i have a few very small exhaust leask what need welding up ! could this be the cause of me loosing boost?

How much were the seats ?

ok ive taken them out and now ive put them onto the carrier bolts is that right?

take the washers out from behind the disk?

washers for where mate ? the carrier or wheel studs ?

316 discs or e30 ? ive now put washers in behind the disk to bring it out 6mm and the carrier is still rubbing on the inside of the disk ? when you tighten the carrier up the disk wont move at all as the carrier is touching the disk!!

Think you hit full boost at about 4900 on the gt28 dont quote me on it but this is a unanswered question in the back of my head to do and was emailing a lad on here the other day who has a gt28 starlet !

im getting some 6mm washers tomoro just to test what it will be like to see whether it will work then if it does will try get some machined up some where ! ah thanks for the offer any way morgey !!

kind of mate as you can see by my other thread ive had a right f**k up with them need to get spacers made up for them !!

Pm'd shorty pretty pissed off about this told they would bolt on and ready to go !! clearly not ! need to find some one to make me some spacers up now !

i have the longer wheel studs and i bought spacers but i clearly have bought the wrong ones as they dont go behind the disk they go infront ! i wasnt told this when i bought them i was told they would go straight on no probs ! i dont know of any machine shops around my area :/ how much do you think it will cost me ?

dont think i can wait that long think will just get some off internet !

Could somebody please help me on putting on my levin twin pots everytime i put them on the carrier scrapes against the inside of the disk! i start off by putting the disk on the 4 studs and putting all wheel nuts on so keeps the disk stable , then i put the carrier on, put the 2 17mm bolts in the back tighten them up and then i go to spin the disk and it scrapes i dont know how to get around it ? anybody help would be much appreciated pulling my hair out over this !! thanks
