My names Andy and i have just joined (18-01-2012) i thought i would make a garage to show my cars progress since i bought it.
The starlet is only my third vechicle but its staying for good. Before the starlet i had a 00 nissian vanette 2.3 d van it was an absolute pig on fuel and it cost 2300 euro to insure it so i sold that and then bought a 96 opel astra 1.4 with 72,000 miles it was a wee cracker of a car never gave any bother the whole time i owned it.
I never intended to buy a starlet its only by chance that i ended up with one :haha:
I was looking for a 95-99 BMW 318is coupe but could not find any clean enough that wasnt damaged and repaired badly etc so the lad that i used to take with me to look at cars told me to take a drive in his womans car a 94 gt turbo it was my first time in a turbo car and i will never forget it i was addicted to boost :drive: :)
That drive made my mind up very quickly i had to have one just the feel of the car and power delivery and the overall look of the car so i ended up buying his womans car 2-3 weeks later and i never looked back since

first thing i did was give the car a good service with the help of johnny c of the site great lad

next was remove window tint and sunband. added a set of 15'' ice alloys in white
next was a set of tein 40mm springs which i got from camskill.co.uk
next traded in the ice alloys for a set of 15'' rota grids
i took the car to smoke signals 09 while the donegal rally was on some pics below
next i tinted the back 3 windows and attended a tgtt meet in belfast for a rolling road day 29/aug/09

next the aircon was de-gased and removed in the usual castlefinn manor :cool:
the car stayed like that for a right while just small bits and pieces as well as servicing

on the way to the drag racing this happened
the back box snapped off :mad: but i still got to the racing and back and it gave me a perfect excuse for an upgrade :haha:

a great exhaust system for the money and fitted very well
added a set of trd adjustable dampers to go along with the 40mm tein springs (i purchased of dantheman of the site great to deal with) this was a big improvement to the handling of the car
after this the car didnt change much on the outside but it was time for more power so i went td04 again with the help of johnny c of the site

plans for 2011 are get nct again, get some small bits sorted and get the car to ccm to get my emu mapped to enjoy the td04 fully
hopefully if i still have work the outside of the car will be having a big change :cool: but we will see what happens

fitted my new d1 wheel nuts today and took a few pics of them
cleaned my alloys aswell as they were rotten especially front pas side as the cv boot had ripped a while back

wee update got the car mapped with chris carson 10/09/2011 and its a great job car drives totally different now
td04 @ 1 bar is plenty for me for daily driving etc
