not updated in ages,
cars been off the road since august last year, been busy with other things but been doing little bits and bobs whenever I have spare time.
the fuel lines were so corroded that the fuel was pouring out, so i needed new ones, someone I know was breaking his project Glanza that he had custom made 1 piece braided fuel lines from tank to engine bay so snapped them up straight away along with a rear anti roll bar, lines are fitted but need to refit the tank so it can run again, I moved into a small unit with a close friend so have more room to work on it now so will start making more progress when I finish uni for this term.
not got any more pics, its covered in dust just now looking sorry for itself, should start making progress soon

Looks awesome mate!

Havent been on here in ages but lots has happened to this since i got it,
its had oem front end
tein coilovers
and i started collecting bits for a single turbo conversion as the twins are only boosting at 6psi instead of 16psi so its feeling fairly slow just now but have almost everything for a single conversion including a power FC ecu but will need to re pin the plugs as the impreza pin out is different from the legacy, hoping for around 350-380bhp with all the stuff I have. heres some pics of how shes looking now
hoping to have everything for the single conversion next month then take a weekend and get the engine out and fit all the single parts and do all the wiring mods for the ecu and then get it mapped

Getting between 25-30mpg so about the same as what I was getting with my Td04 glanza

Yes, i fuckin love these! Manual ones are fairly rare, get a lot in autos.
yeah I was instantly drawn to it being a manual, wouldn't have even bothered if it was an auto, its awesome to drive and sounds awesome with the blitz exhaust
This is awsome! And that steering wheel is class!
cheers, stole the Nardi wheel out my eunos as it came with a horrible flat bottom thing
-
Well the Glanza ran out of insurance and tax and was getting bored of driving it everyday and i was bored of my eunos being a major money pit with something going wrong every week so let it run out of MOT and that's going to my mate who's going to put a rotary in it so, I had to replace it with something sensible, fun and still Jap, and got offered this beast from a mate at a really reasonable price so couldn't say no.
its a 1996 Subaru Legacy GTB, imported in 2007
it has a Zerosports front bumper,
Tommy Kiera Rear end,
Blitz Nur Spec R,
Genuine BBS LM wheels,
genuine wooden Nardi Steering wheel
drives like a dream, really fun in the twistys and has nice smooth power delivery, love driving it, but the bodywork is a bit rough but will sort that in time, anyway enough of my rambling heres some pics

not alot to update, just been enjoying it an maintaining it, went for a drive over some nice roads over the weekend and took a few pics, really loving the way it handles just now with the federal tyres and the geo set up
oh and forgot to mention i fitted some wee canards, got slightly bigger ones to go on too but they need trimmed to the right shape
-
im running -1 degrees camber at the front, and 0.1 degrees toe in
-
It's supposed to be dry but cloudy apparently

-
I'll be there probably

got my alignment done today at automek in glasgow, -1degree camber and 0.1degree toe in, seems to handle alot better and doesn't pull all over the place on boost, not had a proper chance to push it and see how well it handles on a b road blast but will try it out over the weekend
-
got my alignment done today, its set at -1degree camber and 0.05degree toe in, seems to handle alot better so far but not had a chance to push it and see how it performs

Might come along, but might be doing trackday prep as thinking of doing a trackday on the 24th

i wanted to get into automotive design when i was going through school, couldnt find a uni in scotland that did it so applied for motorsport design engineering at UWS and didnt get in cause i failed maths so resat maths at a local college then worked at a bodyshop for a year then got into uni, still working at the bodyshop part time and when im off, just finished second year now, hopefully get a job somewhere in the motorsport design sector somewhere lol
-
The place that is doing my alignment are using a tried and tested setup that's they've used on glanzas before so will let you know once it is done tomorrow
-
i have the same lsd as you, i also fitted an anti lift kit and fully polybushed it all at the same time and the handling was soo much better after all that, next thing is a rear anti roll bar for mine, and get my alignment done to get the best from the set up
your cars looking good though love the splitter, different from what everyone else does, looks like an eg/ek civic one?
-
Thanks guys, it's booked in at automek in Glasgow tomorrow to get the alignment done so should be handling better once that's done

Been ages since I've updated this, done loads to it since the last update just forget to post on here and busy with uni and work.
So just after I put it back on the road last year, I had it up at Wallace Performance in Aberdeen for a map tweek with 430cc injectors and my AVC-R fitted, the first time they only managed 1 bar before the radiator decided to shit itself, thankfully I had it trailered there just incase anything were to go wrong, so i trailered it back and fitted a dual core half size rad i had sitting about that i had been meaning to fit for a while, Matty at Wallace Performance also said the wastegate spring seemed weak so upped that from a 0.6bar one to a 1bar spring. i did a few other bits and bobs aswel but cant remember what i did, but got it back for a mapping again and it made 220bhp at the wheels at 1.4 bar of boost, seemed like a low number but it drove alot better. later found out it had a massive boost leak which is now fixed and its driving even better now. so after that i was just enjoying it for a while, then i got a massive missfire, turned out the ht leads kept popping off the distributor, so i got a new dizzy cap, rotor arm and ngk ht leads along with some new spark plugs and it was running alot better. got some vented wings back in september last year and got them prepped and painted at work, look a slightly different colour but probably cause its fresh paint. I've also fitted Id works rear grooved discs and some federal 595 rsr tyres which are amazing in the dry. i was getting a bit bored of my dc2 recaro as my drivers seat and found a nice spg on ebay for a bargain price so snapped it up and fitted it and its soo much more supportive now. few more little bits and bobs to do to it and also have an IHI VF34 turbo to go on that i did a deal with some oz alloys I had and didnt use, so the plan is to fit that over winter this year and freshen a few things up but for the time being im just going to enjoy it for track days and that, anyway enough of me rambling on heres some pics of whats been done, any of yous who follow my instagram will see regular updates lol
had alot more photos on my old phone but not had a chance to go through them, will try keep this updated more often and i have a few big things that might happen soon too lol
