hi there can anyone tell me if these two pipes are vac pipes and where the go corectly. and do they go here?? any help would be grait as i think i've maybe had them in wrong!!! :/

klkl i wasnt to sure. just needed reasurence. that solves that. idrees i will get in contact with u on monday to order they head bolts!!

yes im positive. two vac hoses are the two that are closest together to each other and go down to the steering rack (round a bout) am i right??

had my gt 15 month. not even drivin it yet and i know il still have it when am 30 n longer lol (24 just now!!)

had a good look around tonight and i have water/oil sitting in my inlet. what the fuck. how has it manged to get in there? any clues?

ano mate do it once n by fuck do it right. total dick. oh well looked right at the time. proved wrong tho lol. aye mate am dien to get it out & bossting. just want this head back on & running with no leaks so i can start tweeking things and do another check to make sure everythings tight and i've not missed a nut or bolt.

hi!! looking for a bit of help here. i put a post up about oil n water mix and its my head gasket im sure. i took the head off tonight and when i looked closer at the head gasket it was round the right way but was totaly covering some of the ports for water/oil to run up to the head. is the gasket ment to cover any of the water or oil ways once its on or do i have the wrong gasket? any help would be grait. cheers dave.

took the oil line for the turbo off today and the oil was like custard. think il need to use shite oil for next start up to flush ma engine out & empty it again then put the good stuff in.

yeh mate been told there good at what they do. a managed to get a company down this way to skim the head witch is not to bad. cant see it happning again once thats been done along with the new head bolts and gasket.

update!! so i went down to the car earlyer and had a rout about. started it back up and same again. . time for another strip down. got the inlet & exhaust sides off, cam belt, fuel rail & injectors. minor set back but will get there in the end. next on the list. head skimmed, new head studs, new gasket & new oil.

cheers adam that clears up. been doin my homework today and i've sorced a new gasket, heads getting skimmed (£30) and il get onto idrees for new head bolts. job done!! I HOPE lol. ;)

much we talkin for gettin the head skimmed stu. didnt know there was a place in dton that does it was lookin at newmarket engineering in stirling lol. aye a think i am goin tae get it skimmed, new gasket & head bolts.

its not a masive build mate just stripped it down to make sure all was good. standard internals & tongs ct9.

would that cause water to leak from the exhaust ports tho?

klkl bud cheers. yeh i've spoke to idrees and am just goin to get new gasket and head bolts prob next wk as im goin to get the head off and ready for the parts. should be ok after that lol.

UPDATE!! WELL minor set back today and a right kick in the balls tbh lol. firstly. i got my car runnin sounded mint no rattles knocks etc.!!! :). but about 10 secs later i see water bubbling up between the mani and head i thought not good and turned it off. checked my nice new oil and there was water in it. gutted. my first thoughts were the gasket was on the wrong way up but after looking back on pics i reliesd it was on right. time to strip the head back off now get a new gasket & head bolts witch i should have done to start with "supid fuck" and get it all done up and try again. here's a vid of it firing. never had lamda in!! ul see the smoke lol http://static.photobucket.com/player.swf?file=http://vid1255.photobucket.com/albums/hh640/davidsmillie2300/video-2012-11-11-15-00-11.mp4 any comments welcome.

no mate had been used. is that my prob?

only other thing is i never sealed it with gasket seal should i have done this?
