  1. Could be a bad earth on it mate. One of the screws holding it into the roof is what earths it. Could be contacts on the light either, you'll see where the little arm slide across a load of contacts. Give the contacts a rub down with some sandpaper if they look a bit corroded.
  2. I have an autobahn 88 front mount sitting in my bedroom since last november because I haven't bought a ct9 hot pipe for it yet. It's setup using a custom made short route pipe for a k24 blitz turbo. But I plan on installing it behind the bumper of my gt turbo and not cutting the grills out. Just have to trim the back of the bumper a little bit for piperwork and nobody sees that sure.
  3. Happened my gt turbo and my uncles glanza. The contacts become corroded and don't create a circuit properly. Unscrew your light, disconnect the litte clip carrying the power. Get some sandpaper and rub it under the contacts. You'll see where the arm makes contact with the bits of metal and know where to rub it down. I fixed 2 sets of starlet lights doing this. You'll know if it's the courtesy switches causing a problem, because the door symbol won't come up on the dash, and the car won't beep if you leave the lights on and open the door with the ignition off.
  4. Ahh I have quite a few bits more that have gone onto it. Thanks mate. Cheers man, the car was lying up in portlaoise. It was left lying up cause the guy that owned it bought a limited edition gt4 celica and he simply lost interest in the car. Was lying up for over a year in total. Ye some amount of muck in it !

Thanks man, i'm holding around 0.5/0.6 bar of vacuum while idling and driving easy. If I had a leak I'd imagine i'd have significantly less vacuum ? I sprayed ignition fluid around the intake and injectors, usually if there's a leak there the revs would jump significantly as the ignition fluid get sucked in but it had no effect. My spec is completely standard on the engine. Top mount intercooler, standard actuator, apexi dump-valve. I had a re-circulating valve in the car when the idle went up, and I put the bov in thinking it might help, but it made no difference.
  6. Said i'd throw up a project thread here. It's not all that spectacular and there's quite a lot of new things in the car that I haven't photographed yet. But i'll put up what I have and take some new pictures over the next few days of some of the newer features. Here's how I got the car : There was green slime and mould all over the car from it lying up so long. As you can see it had a kickass set of wheels on it, not !! If you thought the car was in a bad way outside, you aint seen nothing yet !!! First thing I did with the car was grab my socket set and start taki

Top Mount at the moment, but i'm waiting for my exams to finish in 2 weeks to get my front mount on. Nope no water down in the holes, only a brand new head gone onto the engine, because the old head cracked and was causing that problem. The idling issue went after I put the new head on for over a month and then it came back one day when I was on a long drive at a constant speed. Spark plugs are only a few months old, denso iridium tip plugs as recommended by toyota. Think i'll have to get it on a diagnostics

Wondering if anybody on here could shed a bit of light on this issue my car has. The car idles very high, around 1500/1600 rpm. It seems to develop this problem intermittently. The car could idle perfect for 2 weeks, then get high idle for 4 weeks and so on. This is all off it's own accord, without me doing anything. I've replaced the idle control valve and that didn't have an effect. I'm holding around 0.6 bar of vacuum so I don't think it's a vacuum leak. I've tried adjusting the throttle back, turning the idle screw down. I cleaned out the intake. I'm really lost as to what it could be at t
  9. Thanks Neil, still a long way off, but as I save up I hope to get a good bit more done. I want to get another engine in time and build a fully forged engine on the bench, then change it all out. Want to get it fully resprayed aswell, but I think i'll go for more power first haha.
  10. Cheers man, i've done quite a bit of work on it since I got it, so far i've replaced and installed: Timing belt & water pump New head on the engine New head gasket New pads all around New front discs Denso iridium spark plugs Fresh oil New Handbrake lever New alloys and 4 new tyres Titan blue wheelnuts and locknuts Tein Coilovers Apexi Rsm HKS Turbo Timer Blitz Blacklight Boost Gauge 6000K Hid lights Led sidelights and reg plate bulbs Yellow Foglight Bulbs Sony Xplod Headunit Autobahn 88 Front mount intercooler (haven't installed it yet) Glanza Floor Mats Whiteline front anti roll bar Full
  11. My Mk2 Fiat Punto. It wouldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding, but I just loved having a car in general then. I kept it VERY clean too !
  12. How are you doing lads, only new on here from Dublin, Ireland. Thought i'd stick up an intro and say hi Currently driving a 95 Silver Gt Turbo that I bought last November. My plans were to buy a bzr levin but I got call saying a mate knew of a cheap GT that was lying up. Travelled halfway across the country and picked up my GT that night for €600 (£480). This is the sorry state it was in ! I'll stick up a project thread with a load more pics of how bad it was and some of the work i've done.
  13. Whats up man, just wondering if you could send us on the tracking number for my gt flow dials. I ordered them through Ryan on tocirl. They were ordered to my address in Dublin. If you could pm it on to me it'd be great.
