thankyou for all the replies! yes i totally agree, evo's stopped being evo's after the evo 6. but the proton looking evo (my shape) i think has appealing features.
Shaf, very nice evo 3! i was looking at a yellow one, but the bloke never got back in contact with me, and this rarer one came up!
Ryan5793: thankyou mate! i still miss my old Glanza! i see it at south mimms meets and i miss her each time! plans well, she just went to the garage to get 20mm longer wheel studs put on, she has a oil leak, but after a few tests found out its not the piston rings or engine damage and just crap seals. going to replace the gaskets and get a oil catch can put on. then, its just a matter of time for the engine to go boom, then forged engine. no stroker kits, just a nicely forged 2.0 litre with the power range of around 350bhp in mind.
lukeSR: to be really honest i dont know? she used to have piller pod lights, so as an assumption, the piller pods covered the standard plate so the reflective one on the bonnet was put on.
but again, thankyou for your replies!

use the method of which evo's use, for there front mounts. as many starlet owners convert the top mount to fmic.

Well, from owning my old Volvo 850 t5r i bought this
a import 200 s14 which was an auto, but i converted it to manual. i was getting bored of the slow progress, so i ditched my plans for it and bought this instead.
She is a Mitsubishi Evo 2 RS, so she comes with no power windows, central locking etc and is the light weight version of the evo range. short ratio gearbox and built for accleration. i bought her like the below. i have a print out for the car and its running 286bhp, which is healthy, with not many mods
with the deal of buying the car i got a ton of spares as the person i was buying from was moving away to spain and he had no use for the parts. well the old enkei's have sold and I've put these Oz's on to give it more of a rally look. stickers still need to come off, but i have other things i need to sort on it. to be honest, its been the best car i have owned! its fast, thrilling, comfortable and a pleasure to drive!
enjoy

Ah, didn't realise it was a quick car.
Doesn't look overly sppedy tbh, but that's probably the appeal
Fancy giving me your Civic now ye?
well she has a limited top speed i think to 146mph, tops at 155-160mph. not that im going to try!
well its urs as i like you you can have the spare wheel!
-
mikey, yes i have, since saying i wanted a new car on our last meeting up........ i couldnt hold it in any longer! I've taken the civic off the road this morning and now insured this! I've been driving it around all morning, its animal!
but yes I've gone made!
Iwan: i sure am enjoying it! i want to get the car seriously looked over, so im sure its runnign as it should then a nice 280-300bhp remap is in order!
-
well i won this off ebay, for cheap! on Monday and i finally brought her home Wednesday. and wow what a blast it was! enjoy!
Volvo 850 T5R
im still keeping the civic, but once i know that the volvo has still got alot of life in her, i may rid the civic. its too loud and stiff for my liking. but who knows!
-
nice ride mate! you need a jdm boot lid! if your keeping the d16 engine, turbo it! you can get good powers from the 1600cc's!
good luck!

i got this mapped last week but due to weathers i have not had a great play. but it dose feel alot more smoother, and torquey. also found out im not running a thermostat and its over fueling abit due to thinking its always cold starting. more money! and that it was running a little lean before hand. sorted now by the over fueling lol
the mods where, dc sports 4-1 mani, a decent de-cat pipe as the previous was restricting and my hks f-con is.
here are some pics and i went out for a trip too get some bulbs.
enjoy!

wow! all i can say!! lovely car!
-
i prefaired how it looked before..
in alot ways so did i, but i needed to do some thing to it as i was getting bored of the car. and the last thing i want to do with this is get bored. i know i am down grading with the wheels, but i wont care so much if i damage these, as im very clumsey with curbs!
also I've made the you tube into links now!
thankyou for the comments and all your opinions!
my hks f-con and a 4-1 mani go's on this week and to be dyno'd aswell! il update this once i know the results! should be friday or saturday! yay!

some extra pics i forgot to add before
here some pictures of what i have to contend with when home
and she dont scrub, i dont no how, but lets say she is low!
after having it for 2 weeks, i wanted to see how this would do at a drag strip, so i went with friends to one. i know i can get a quicker time (hoping) but i still was getting used to the close gears and what best revs to launch this from. the best i got was 14.3 quarter mile. before the day came i got a very cheap de-cat done for like $15. i got exactly what i paid for! lol (not great)

i was bored at work so washed my car!
the alloys where a nightmare.
this is a little video of inside the car of a sprint i did. the temp gauge dose not work due to having the defi gauges with the water temp. i did not run this from cold.

well come december i was getting bored of the looks and continually washing the 10 spokes of the alloys so swapped them for some rota slip streams. crazy i know, but I've always loved these! also swapped for amber indicators rather than the clears.
also the latest part of the car is I've put new seats in to make my drive slightly more comfy than the bride bucket seat. evo 3 recaros. i choose these as they have the same style as the dc2 recaro's and I've already had the later style evo seat out of the 7 in a previous car. i think that these suit it and kind of match with the steering wheel.

same 1.8 engine out of the hgt?
-
Yea you cant feel the vtec kick like the b16's etc but they do pull very well ;)
Yea its a d16 mate, sohc vtec 130ish bhp if i remember correctly
yeh found that out too! it was a engine with no oil either
-
kno what u mean, fogs do look like an after thought
what car next then?!
oh sorry, nah im not changing car, im wanting a new engine in this one. but i have to save abit for it unless i win the lotto then il put a diff engine in!
-
cheers! yeh i know the price for it, im over the moon!
yeh me mate said the fogs are rare! tbh i dont like them, and one bulb is cracked for the engine code i dont know...... but its the one with a mini v-tec (which i cant feel)
but im just saving lots of dollar for the next changed! going to take me a few months unless i win the lotto!
my insurance on the trueno ends on wednesday and transfers onto the civic. kinder looking forward to it, but for insurance purposes its alot cheaper!

well as i get bored of cars very quick, I've decided to buy this. found on ebay 5days ago, bidded £393 and won it! for £393 it has alot of kit!
elec windows, elec sun roof, mirrors. (they are must haves in my eyes) has mot till december 2008, tax till jan 2009, alot of service history. only problems so far found the clutch makes a odd noise, crunches a few gears, brand new exhaust knocks on something and odd bits of rust, but better than alot of uk eg's around. has the fog lights which is a nice touch and a vti lower splitter! okish alloys (could be worse) by the way its a esi!
when driving around isn't it we thought it handles very well, even me mate used to have a vti and said it handles really well for a esi.
well i got bored today and me and my mate decided to strip the rear. when going through the boot i found a bag of tools, and a cap with firm written on it.... then koni. me and my mate looked at one another in suprise...... quickly rushed and took a alloy off to find it has koni shocks and springs on it! result. so the koni's are worth ruff what i bought the car for!
enjoy comments welcome!
i have alot of plans for this car in the next year or so, each bit coming in stages.
-
pricey £££ i want to get seats for the trueno, cant think what would suit it :s
-
Tested it, 7500 is about 70 but didn't go any further as changed gear as didn't want to over-rev it or anything
you wont be able to over rev it! it hits the limiter.il test your theory when I've got my sat nav in the car next!
-
i got a welder to weld my recaro's to the sub frames. only cost a little bit and a cuppa tea. i can imagion the recaro sub frames being £60+ each ??? ebay is the best place mate! thats where i found my evo 7 recaros!
-
