nasif
Hi, i own a 97 glanza v. Whenever i'm crossing 80 degree celcius on the oil temp gauge and going 140+ kmph my car shuts off automatically. It's a stock engine with a recently done manual transmission swap. Is the engine dying or is it somethng else that has gone bad? Any help is much appriciated.
Gainzy
Sounds dangerous my mates was an auto to manual his just cut off one day turned out it was a connection lead to the gearbox no idea what it looks like though just a thought
nasif
^Thanks for the information mate, i'll surely check all the wiring. One more thing to add, after a hard run the car engine keeps on shaking a bit. Later on when the engine cools down, everything seems fine.
Gainzy
Hmm shaking? With actual movement..check all the mounting points worn bushes that's really strange. Is there any sort of colour smoke from the exhaust anything pretty obvious?
nasif
doesn't shake when the oil temp is below 80 degree Celsius that too only while idling. I'm just looking for clues why the engine shuts off when i'm flooring the car. normal black smoke, running a decat side exit exhaust Edited April 2, 2016 by nasif
StuDoc 72
Possibly the above. Does the engine actually turn off ( All dash lights come on? ) or do you just lose power for a moment?
