gaztop101
so, i have fitted new rear brake drums with new inner and outer bearings and also new shoes, the drivers side is fine, but the passenger side makes a rubbing sound as if catching on something, its not the shoes rubbing because i backed them right off and it still makes the sound, any clues as what it could be, it sounds like a metal scraping sound. adzy
There's a metal lip on the backing plate that can get caught on the drum, had a similar issue with mine a while back.Is it all the time or just under braking?
gaztop101
ive only noticed it while jacked up and spinning the wheel, when i drive it you can hear it a bit, cant really tell if it does it when braking
