Mickey The Fish Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 Can anyone tell me it its okay to install the Lambda sensor for my wide band about 4 inches from the Lambda that the ECU uses. It's a 4EFE engine so I have no where else to install to keep both 30 inches or so from the Turbo. Quote
AdamB Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 What sensor is it mate? You should be fine depending on the sensor, just make sure you get it at the correct angle so that condensation doesn't build up on the sensing element as their ceramic. Condensation being heated up and cooled down will fracture after a short while. Quote
Mickey The Fish Posted June 6, 2016 Author Posted June 6, 2016 I've bought a Bosch direct replacement as the gauge is second hand and the seller was honest stating the original sensor had seen better days. What angle would you recommend I can pretty much weld the bung in all the way round the circumference of the exhaust pipe which is 2.75 inch in diameter. Quote
Bug679 Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 Here ya go man, minimum of 10 degrees http://aemelectronics.com/files/instructions/30-4110%20Digital%20Wideband%20UEGO%20Gauge.pdf Quote

If you don't mind me asking how much did you pay? I've got 10 Bosch LSU ADV sensors sat here that we use on development cars, can even go pre-turbo position with their temp rating Quote
Mickey The Fish Posted June 7, 2016 Author Posted June 7, 2016 (edited) It's the 4.2 and I paid £54 which I know is probably a little steep but didn't want to end up with a cheap copy that didn't last two minutes. It came from Xenontunning.co.uk. Edited June 7, 2016 by Mickey The Fish Quote

Mickey The Fish Posted June 8, 2016 Author Posted June 8, 2016 That's good to know I wasn't ripped-off. Quote
aleximport25 Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 From what I've read isn't the 4.9 much faster readings and more accurate ? Quote
Phil Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 Not sure but it's what the later innovate system is calibrated for. Phil Quote
