turbo-fever Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 Is there a breather from the block to the head? Seem to be getting blow by again wonder if I need to do something with the two hoses off my rocker cover Quote
Flaminsam Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 Only breather from the bottom end is contained within the engine/head. The baffle plate in the rocker cover sometimes clogs up restricting the breathing for the engine. Could be worth removing the baffle plate and cleaning it out then refitting it. 👍🏻 Quote
turbo-fever Posted July 8, 2016 Author Posted July 8, 2016 Think I'm gonna give it a try compression test aswell cheers dude Quote
richardc9052 Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 I use the dipstick. Put piping onto the tube with an inline filter and put the dipstick by the fuse box. Boom. Crankcase breather.Only small I know but better than none Quote
5e colin Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 drill the block just under the bore on back of engine and tap a 45 degree fitting in there bit of hose and filter Quote
turbo-fever Posted July 9, 2016 Author Posted July 9, 2016 (edited) So took rocker cover off today baffle seems OK can blow through both breather pipes, did a compression test all roughly 180 so pistons are OK.I use the dipstick. Put piping onto the tube with an inline filter and put the dipstick by the fuse box. Boom. Crankcase breather.Only small I know but better than noneIf you put piping on the dipstick tube with a filter on then the dipstick won't go through ? Edited July 9, 2016 by turbo-fever Quote
