Engine Fault code 12 and 52

Hello guys,

My engine warning light came on with me driving today.

Got very worried,as before have had the bottom end go on me.

Got car home,drove ok but seems to not feel right.

Codes were:-

12 and 52.

12 is RPM signal

52 is knock sensor

I really don't know what it means? Do I need to replace something? Find another engine??

I hate electrics and fault codes

If anyone can shed some light please.

knock sensor fault, ecu will retard timing. check wiring, if thats okay replace sensor.

If you have a search the knock sensor issue has been covered many times. In my experience with the stock knock sensor and wiring, the code is cause be the wiring 90% of the time. I've only had to replace half a dozen or so knock sensors over the years
