turbo-fever
Basically I don't know what diff I have as the vin plate says c52 not c56 so It didnt come with one, so either its had another box put on or aftermarket one. Is there another way of finding out of its an aftermarket or optional Toyota one ? I want to change the oil but don't know what to use
Phil
Optional is obviousAnd if it's not optional then it's aftermarket Phil

richardc9052
If its encased it is aftermarket Pull a drive cup out of the box and take a pic inside.

What's the tell tale signs as it's encased in the gearbox revert to what Richard said ^^ if it isnt obvious then its not optional as they stick out 'behind' the gearbox sort of. as Richard said if its encased then its aftermarket. and to be certain you have a LSd rather than open diff - just pop a shaft out and take a pic.
