high idle problem

help needed got a ep82 last week as a project the car was big spec but sadly got broke for parts so a bought the shell before the car got broke it was running mint since last week I have replaced the engine with a standard 4efte engine stanard enjector standard ecu new hks plugs ht leads new dizzy cap tried starting it yesterday and it wouldn't start was sparking but not getting fuel finally found the problem it was the efi fuse so that problem was fixed now for the next problem the car struggles to start and when it does it hits 2k rpm straight away and doesn't drop when you rev it it sputters and wants to cut out I have checked for vacuum leaks but can't fine a thing anyone got any suggestions ?

spent all day yesterday trying to find the problem all vacuum lines was checked map sensor is plugged in same with the vacuum line for it tps is plugged in av not adjusted it tho and the ecu temp sensor is connected

hold your finger over the wax stat hole when its running if it lowers you know ( high idle )

timing or ignition out for the hard starting ?

Got the idle problem fixed got it down to about 1000 rpm it idles fine soon as you give it throttle it sputters like mad and wants to cut out doesn't even let me Rev

check timing belt, if its off by 1 tooth it can give similar effects
