Sidelight wiring

So I have had a quick look around and can't seem to find anything on the topic does anybody have a wiring diagram for the indicator stalk on a 98 sr. If not does anybody just know which wire is for the sidelights? Thanks in advance

What's the reason for checking ?

No I just have illegal sidelights and want to be able to turn them off while driving by adding a switch

You have to have side lights showing when lights are on etc or you will

Be asking for trouble. Also in what way are the illegal what colour are they ?

I had no side lights for a while and nobody seemed to notice and they are illegal because they are purple and very noticeable due to using 13 leds per bulb

Ok what u need to do is buy you self some standed to ones for when u have mot.

Mean while on the steering colum there be a connector to the light stalk using a multi meter u can locate the correct wire

Fair enough, any advice for getting to the wires/connector or is it just simply remove some screws and pop apart some clips

Now after messing around with this for a while I have managed to find out which is the sidelight wire. Only problem is I haven't cut any wires or anything and I think I've somehow managed to lose the beam indicator on the clocks. Firstly does an sr have one I'm fairly sure it used to and if so any ideas

Was just a coincidental bulb that had gone all is good
