eamo49
Hi guys....Today i replaced the cv joint on the passenger side on the above mentiond car...when doing so i removed the entire shaft from the hub and also at the gearbox end....when i removed the shaft from the gearbox end quite an amount of oil poured out....when i refitted the shaft with the new cv joint I completely drained the gearbox from a 24 mil bolt just to the rear of the shaft and drained the remaining oil from the box...I reinstalled that mentioned bolt...I then removed the same size bolt from the frot of the box approx. half ways up the box and put in approx. 1.5 ltrs of 75w 90 gear oil.....Is this the correct procedure and did I use the correct grade of oil ??? Thank you for reading this.....Eamonn...
