Mike2016 Posted November 30, 2016 Posted November 30, 2016 As mentioned in a previous post my sunroof is leaking now badly. It's filling the headlining on the car and water is running down the inside of both the windscreen and the rear window. I can't find where it's leaking from or how to fix it. Someone previously suggested something about drain holes for the sunroof but I can't even find any. I have a 98 sr any help would be much appreciated as I don't want my car rotting from the inside out. Quote
morgey Posted November 30, 2016 Posted November 30, 2016 Theres usually a pipe that comes off each corner 2 run down the front A pillars and the rear 2 go down the b or C pillars. You might need to pull the trim off to find them to trace them but they will be there Quote
fiddlersport Posted December 1, 2016 Posted December 1, 2016 Open your sunroof and in each corner there will be holes which have pipes attachedFront of sunroof pipes run down footwellsSeems like the pipe may have detached itself Quote
fiddlersport Posted December 1, 2016 Posted December 1, 2016 Or you probably have split pipe...you need to remove the headliner Quote
Mike2016 Posted December 2, 2016 Author Posted December 2, 2016 So I have removed the sunroof and also the seal and I can't find any drain holes at all Sent from my F5121 using Tapatalk Quote
morgey Posted December 2, 2016 Posted December 2, 2016 Going to be a roof lining out job im afraid lookig at that Quote
Mike2016 Posted December 2, 2016 Author Posted December 2, 2016 I was hoping it wouldn't be. Looking at the line it's empty so if it is blocked it's at the top. Any advice/suggestions on how to remove the headlining? Sent from my F5121 using Tapatalk Quote
fiddlersport Posted December 3, 2016 Posted December 3, 2016 Using a airline and pipe you test to see which pipe is clogged or loose Quote
Mike2016 Posted December 4, 2016 Author Posted December 4, 2016 Would still need to find the end of it tho right Sent from my F5121 using Tapatalk Quote
Flynn Posted December 4, 2016 Posted December 4, 2016 Is that red bit a joiner? Could stick the airline on there and either blast out the blockage or listen for where the air is escaping up top. Even better would be smoke if there's no blockage but I'm not sure how you'd do that lol Quote
fiddlersport Posted December 4, 2016 Posted December 4, 2016 The red bit is just tape holding it on to the clip to attach it to the body... Quote
Mike2016 Posted December 7, 2016 Author Posted December 7, 2016 Was gonna say if it was detachable would get a friend to blow smoke from an ecig up there lol Sent from my F5121 using Tapatalk Quote
