LowRed
Hi All,Got a simple question fo most of you...I currently have a Turborev Dump Valve on my Ep91 Glanza, on there when I bought it. Burning Question as I'd like to upgrade soon... Blow Off Valve or Dump Valve ? ? ?Seen many on Ebay etc, so boggling to decide. Whats best to do?All thoughts and opinions would be great
StarletRick
they are the same thing.......but that aside, if you want to upgrade, and top JDM tuning house will be ok, greddy, hks, blitz, etc.
shelly_star
^^^^ditto what he said.....
Starletraje
Not to doubt the people who know there turbo's but i found this:"Unlike a dump valve a blowoff valve can be used at multiple boost settings without reconfiguration. Blowoff valves are sometimes incorrectly called dump valves because they serve a similar function, but they are very different solutions to the same problem."
seed
I thought dump valve = blow off valve?
ecksjay
pretty much is, thats just being pedantic.I have a blitz bov kit for sale if you need something a tad more jdm, see here.

Bourkey
a BOV is the exact same as a dump valve, just different names.I was gonna say the same thing then. What ever you get matey just make sure it's a JDM make as apparently they are the best built. It's what i intend to get when i do my conversion.Bourkey
VeilsideDX
But don't Forget Blow of valve and Bypass does have a difference . Blow of valve dumps all the air > but a bypass will recirculate 50% of that air back in
himmys gt turbo
i have a Bailey 'Venturi' style dump valve on my EP82 and it does the job for me..... v.loud!!!'Dump Valve, Blow off Valve, Super sequential blow off valve, dont they all do the same job???

Blow of valve dumps all the air > but a bypass will recirculate 50% of that air back insorry mate, thats not true. it doesnt matter wether or not they recirculate back to the intake they do exactly the same thing. the only reason most OEM turbo cars recirculate is to keep the noise down. it has nothing to do with how they perform and function.
