Td04 rotating, do I need actuator if externally gated

Looking at a guide to rotate td04 says about welding actuator on after rotating guessing I don't need to do this if I'm externally gated? Stupid question still new to all of this lol, cheers

Hey bud you need to remove the massive C-clip from the compresser housing its a bugger remove then the little metal dowle with a pair of pliers. then remove the clamp holding it all together split the turbo and rota the cartrage 180 and refit all to suit.

no bud but you do need the wategate flap welded shut.

Got the actuator removed and the clip, defo doesn't want to come off very easily lol may have to soak overnight if no luck with rubber mallet again
