That Car Guy Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 Hi, I'm Jason, and I just recently bought a 1997 N/A Toyota Starlet. I'm hoping to turn it in into a road legal track car, and get into the world of tuning. Quote
atlex Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 Track car :-) Get some decent suspension (and maybe some bracing) and tyres before you both with power mods. I can recommend Meister R suspension... The 4efe is fairly limited but 4efte and 4age swaps seem very popular. (I'm keeping mine "standard" because my mod money goes to my roadsters) Quote
That Car Guy Posted December 16, 2017 Author Posted December 16, 2017 Thanks for the suspension recommendation! I might look into investing in some of them. Also, I might look into getting a 4EFTE or 4AGE swap (although I might keep it N/A, as personally I prefer N/A hatchbacks). I also heard that the corolla intake swap is good, I heard it's good for low-end torque. Quote
SKINY Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 Corolla manifold and throttle body, I fitted them to my Rep and it dynoed at 86.6 hp, 12.6 hp gained for 30£ :) AFR was spot on too. My plan was to turbo it but I ended up buying a GT Quote
That Car Guy Posted December 24, 2017 Author Posted December 24, 2017 Here's a picture of it, completely stock. Quote
t'mill Posted December 26, 2017 Posted December 26, 2017 Welcome to the forum pal. Did your car come with those headlamp protectors already fitted? I fancy a pair of them. Quote
That Car Guy Posted January 7, 2018 Author Posted January 7, 2018 Yeah, they did. Came with the car. Quote
