Dean @RW-Developments Posted April 17, 2008 Share Posted April 17, 2008 in the last week ive went through a gallon of oil due to my piston rings going, its getting really bad now i think i might be putting in as much oil as i do petrol lol it dont really matter to much as i should have my 4efte in soon but its gettin rather costly. anyone else with a simular problem? If you go for something like 15w 50 Mineral it's cheaper, won't burn as much due to higher viscocity and won't really matter if you plan to junk the engine. Dean @RW-Developments Posted April 17, 2008 Author Share Posted April 17, 2008 is it definatly safe to put 15-50 into it as i need it to last until the end of july really at the muinite im using 10w-40, hope to get the engine in around july as i have set myself a task to collect a few modified parts for my car first! no rush really il just keep topping the oil up and smoke people out for a while longer Quote Link to post Share on other sites
