    Got A Job!

Haha awesome man! I got super lucky on Thurs, went into a job agency to sign up and as luck would have it a company in the same building as them needed someone. Got an interview set-up then and there, got the job on the spot and I start on Thurs!! Time to pay off some student debt/save for my road trip/spend on the GT! Wooop!
  2. I get this too; the actuator is applying enough force on the wastegate flap to keep it closed, but its the wastegate penny that is rattling up and down. You can hear a faint rattle but if you grab the actuator arm and hold it in place the rattle stops.
  3. 202mph...but I am running 1Bar of boost so...
  4. Looking good mate! PS. Can you make me a hybrid pwwweaasee!
  5. I have a GT2 here just gathering dust, but seeing as you don't want it I guess I'll just scrap it...
  6. I used matt black VHT paint just in case.
  7. Cheers guys! My next mod is a catch can!
  8. Update: Got it on the dyno, but my manifold had 2 nasty cracks in it. Still managed to pull 129WHP. Since then I've bought a few bits/changed a few things: Tweaked the air intake, looks a bit like a cannon now lol Some pics of the cracked stainless: Bought a SPS mild steel manifold, wrapped it and fitted it! Some pics: ] Wow! What a difference its made! My turbo spools up so much better than before and I have full boost at like 2.5k lol. Before it was like 3.5! (my mani was leaking). Feels more responsive as well! Very good purchase! Polished my RX cooler today:
  9. Yeah but he had a fairly low mileage engine/turbo! Not to mention he had a good setup all looked after by an eManage! Also if you're looking for 190/200, hybrid is definitely the way to go! If you did manage to peak 190 out of a normal CT9 I doubt it would last much longer! Also dub7 made 200+ on a CT9, but with a fully rebuilt engine and ported head, and again I'm sure that CT9 was strained to its limits! Fuel cut is around 12-13-ish Psi yeah, so you'd need to set it below that. It would be a great idea to port the wastegate before doing anything, and run a nice steady 12ish Psi without m
  10. I doubt you'll make 190 on an old CT9 with an old engine tbh mate. Over on the Aus Starlet Club they are chuffed to make 150whp on a CT9 setup, so be happy with 170/180 at the fly. Spec list looks OK, but if I were you I'd buy an eManage or even a Unichip as opposed to spending £500 on a JAM ECU. You can pick up 2nd hand emanages (and espeically unichip's) for fairly cheap, even with mapping on top it would only just be more expensive than a JAM and will probably give you much better results! Just my 2p.
