GTJames
Hi everyone i'm James. I joined this forum as I have just passed my test and I will be doin my Pass plus. I have been looking around for a car for a while now and have stopped on the Toyota Starlet. A couple of reasons were they are fantastic small cars and suprisingly cheap on the insurance. I do know a bit about cars so i'm sort of in the know. Any help you could give about buying or anything to do with the cars would be appreciated. I am doing my exams just now ;) so I won't be on here often but I am seriously considering a Starlet.ThanksJames

GTJames
Just to add, I don't know which Starlet has which Chassis number like for a Skyline you have R32, R33 and R34 etc. What is the numbers for Starlets?
Sparky
Welcome to the club mate ;)Good choice of car im not biased on my opinion though The first ever Starlet is a KP60, these are rear wheel driveThen the is the EP70, which is the first front wheel drive turbo StarletThen there are the EP80 series which had 3 mks and are the most popular Starlet turboThen the EP91 is the Glanza or UK n/a shapeCheck the Extreme EP rides section for different examples of each

GTJames
Sounds good mate. I'm definately looking at a EP91, just the small sportif as the insurance is brilliant at just over £400 or there abouts. I love driving and have looked at alot of wee runabouts to get me going but I must admit the Starlets are rare to find on Autotrader and so on. Cracking value for a 1.3 in my books.Just to add I have a GT in my name because we used to own GT Primeras which are cracking and just now we have an SE+ which is absolutely brilliant, I've had a go ;)
Guest Enzo
ok, if thats the case id recomend adtrader.co.ukand gumtree, starlets constantly pop up there from £400-600 mark
