What brakes do people recommend

Recommended Posts

What will your car mainly be used for and do you have an idea on budget?

We sell our own 4 pot kits for the front and have 2 pots coming out shortly for the rear. Other than that there is the 3G range which most go for, Mintex 1144 work well with these but again depends what you are looking for. We also sell stock OEM replacements if needed. Have a look in our brake section and if you need any help don't hesiaet to ask:

Yeah or for track work, let us know what the car will be used for then we can get a better understanding of what you need, we are about to strat a Group Buy on 3G 10GR disks, 1144 pads and Toy Tuning braided lines :(

Fast road use mostly and a chance there will be a little bit of track but we are not talking often. In respect of budget not sure really, dont really want to break the bank. I was thinking upgrading the discs and pads on the front and put standard discs and upgraded pads on the rear... Good idea?

yeah, my advise is you jump in on this GB that toby is putting together. youll probably get all 3 for around 200 odd quid id imagine.

you dont need to uprate the rear brakes either. stock pads are fine

Cheers mate, well bring on pay day, they need to be sooner rather then later

As above 3G, 1144 and some braided lines will be more than enough for fast road and the occasional track day. Stock disks and pads on the rear is also fine they have a very minimal rear bias like most FWD cars. You can always chuck in a BMCS for good measure if needed as these will really improve the pedal feel but apart from that you shouldn't need much more, also make sure you bleed the system thoroughly and use Toyota DOT 5.1 :(
