  3. It would be way down the list of projects I'm afraid. I'd never get it finished.
  4. No space for a starlet on the drive im afraid! Such a shame the old girl was broken down, she was a bit of a legend!
  5. You'd think so eh ^^ http://www.ukstarletowners.com/topic/8997-ricks-tc-glanza-v/
  6. Alright chaps, I used to be one of the admins on here way back in the day, and I had pretty decent glanza. I was being nostalgic and looking up my old photos, and was wondering if anyone knew where it was, or what it looks like now..? It was the TC glanza. I'm sure a few of you might remember me. I know for sure than Rob regularly plays with himself wile looking at photos of me etc.
  7. just make sure you leave the bearing in the freezer overnight to get proper cold. that is also anti-seize i wiped on the inside fyi.
  8. I've been tinkering with a few but on the car over the past week and I also received a parcel from the USA with some sexual bits from 949. I'll post about them when I install the parts. One job that came out well was the rebuilt hubs and uprights etc. The new bearings went in nice and easy [media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G67pDdIXjMw put the bearing in the freezer, then get the hub nice and hot. hydraulic presses are for gay boys ^^ The hubs have cleaned up well too. also couldnt resist some cheeky ARP extended studs with speed tips.
  9. Just make sure it is strong. They are put under some fairly serious lateral load.
  10. It doesn't matter tbh. From memory there is loads of space. So as long as the L is strong, I'd aim for 3 inches square. The holes you can figure out pretty easily.
  11. Right, I just spent the best part of the morning refitting the back end after having it all appart and (to my gf's dismay) all over the house in various stages of repair. I feel enlightened. like i have achieved a great goal. i feel wonderful, like a new man. i also swore a lot as the diff is FUCKING HEAVY ERMAGERD. all the poly bushes are in, all the zerks work, Flyin'Miata roll bar is in along with polybushings/zerks. every single bolt and nut has been replaced. the alignment bolts are all new from mazda. where possible, ive upgraded the bolts to at least 8.8 grade zinc coated bolts and n
  12. Rob, i can probably manage it myself, but i would love you long time if you give me the nod when youre booking up. ill try to get us next to you, for anal etc.
  13. We may do a TC stand (next to you, obvs), but if none of us pull our finger out. we will be with you lot ^^
  14. woof coatings are just as good as zircotec. give em a try.
  15. Had i known that, i would have taken advantage of you, violently. they do boost nicely to a point, but reliability can be an issue once you get them up over 250hp (or 350hp if youre american ^^). harry had a SC'd one ye, but he took the sc off and sold it, so now its just NA screamy lulz.
  16. Full boost at about 4500 for a td06
  17. td05s are for gays. real men use td06's ^^
  18. Rich, I vaguely recall you pretty much getting in our tent even though we were both asleep. i was expecting, at the very least, some bumming - you dissapointed me. as for the yunos, ive kind of gone a bit over the top with it in that it is a shell up rebuild. i wish i never started it... moneypit.com the overall goal is to have a reliable car i can track and learn a bit more about how to keep it alive, and more importantly to improve it as i go along to try and find real-world gains. the mx5 is great for this, as they are cheap and have an amazing chassis for the money. its a 1.6 at the min
