How 2: Swap Odometer From N/A To SR

Recommended Posts

· Remove dials from car, ie: remove surround, unclip Speedo mechanism, and the three plugs.

Do the following on both sets of dials

· Unclip the bottom clips, making sure they are the black ones and not the clear ones.

· If the dials keep closing, use a screwdriver to keep the bottom apart while unclipping the top ones.

· Unscrew the two large gold screws, these are the ones surrounding the Speedo mechanism.

· Unscrew the two smaller silver screws to the right if them (see pic)

· Carefully remove needle, I found using a screwdriver was easiest (be careful not to scratch the dial though.)

· Undo the two screws closest to the centre (the only two screwslol)

· Pull the dial away from the odometer.

· Swap the odometer to the other dial and screw it all back together and your done.

· Check that the Speedo needle is correct by letting it rest, it must rest a 0 (sort of obvious but easily forgotten)

Tips:

· Be careful not to accidentally change the position of the Speedo needle.

· It may be a good idea to wear gloves, as some marks were left by my fingers :p

· Finally it may be a good idea at this time to adjust the fuel gauge
