Having a wee bit of trouble

Recommended Posts

well i ordered an adjustable actuator from toytuning the other week and have now recieved it, but when i came to fiting it i cant budge the original actuator bolts :D they are solid, ive been soaking them every day with penetrating fluid for about 4 days and they still wont budge <_< anyone else had this kinda trouble when changing them? also whats the best way to get at the actuator as i have my arm down through the gap in between the radiator and the Efi pipe. chers guys starlybruiser :D

try taking out the grille the top mounts for the radiator off and moving the rad to the right, should give u a few more inches ;-)

the bolts where tight on mine but not that bad, otherwise take the rad out and use a breaker bar.

glad u got your actuator from tt ,ordered mine a while ago and explained it was urgent, still havent seen it-got a complete new turbo since then!

oh yeah b careful with the E ring that holds the pin in...ping, oh bugger.

get under neath yeh, get a 12mm ratchet and socket on there, and use a 14mm or 15mm ring ended spanner on the end of the ratchet for leverage, you had the crack the bolts off as theyve been on there 10+years with all the heat etc, they just need cracking off ,once you do that its all gravy, underneath is alot easier IMO

good luck
