Alexkp60
Does anyone know what gear box you can hook the 4efte up to in a rwd format. Is the w55 out of the is200 one?A
ste91
Someone had a 4WD EP82 with the front wheels not connected, 4EFTE engine.Sucked though.
Rich
If im right in thinking the A series engines use the same 'boxes? you could try and source an ae86 'box...
ste91
Might aswell grab yourself a 4AGE while you're there ;)
Sparky
Someone had a 4WD EP82 with the front wheels not connected, 4EFTE engine.Sucked though.Judging by the guys username he has a rwd starlet and obviously thinking about 4efte'ing it and he would need a rwd drive box to suit it As said im pretty sure they use a 4age box on some conversions? Alexkp60
hay yea sorry if my intentions arnt clear. But glad to see some people know about the old ones. wana to get more power than my 100hp 4k engine is making. would go 4age but the engine is a solid block and is too much weight for the front end. im not to sure about the engine weight of the 4efte but i know the W55 is an all allie houseing? also the smaller displacement engine would be better suited for the car as i would like to keep the olriginal rear end with a LSD. any help would be greatfullA
ste91
doh! didn't even notice the name lol4EFTE would probably be better then, but you should ask Toby about this, one of ToyTuning's cars is a 4AGE KP61.http://www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/index....showtopic=12945
Rich
like I said If i'm right in thinking they use the same bell housing bolt pattern as the E series engines go for an ae86 box
StarletRick
there isnt room in a starlet engine bayto run a longitudinal engine setup to run a 4age box. a car with such a short wheelbase would be hella shit as a rwd anyway.
Rich
Angle Grind0rz? Would just have to get used to doing doughnuts at every corner

StarletRick
a 4age is MUCH MUCH better than a 4e. just get one of those, they fit in the kp fairly easy.
ecksjay
ye use a 4age mate, the weight is neglegable, considering the convenience of being able to use the 4age and all the parts that come with it. its quite a common conversion, so would work well.either that, or go SR20, and go spinning about all over the place uncontrollably. StarletRick
ive actually seen a few F20C engines in old KPs. they are apparently awesome. theres soem US company that make the mounts etc to run the conversion. they are REALLY light aswell and wubs the revs. and kp's are all about the revs.
Clinternational
Try the 2ZZGE Compressor mate, Full aluminium block. rpm at an range of 8000, and 235 BPH stock. 1800cc 16 valve
