starlybruiser
well i recently fitted my toytuning actuator and the new one has one outlet where as the standard one has two, so i used a "T" piece and had the two pipes ( turbo housing pipe and pipe from HI-LO solinoid ) going into the one to the new actuator, this has lost me the HI-LO button and i was wondering if i can just connect the pipe from the actuator to the turbo housing? as i think having the "T" piece in there is doing nothing at all??? also while ive posted this i just wanted to know is 0.8 bar the most boost i can run on a completely standard engine? cheers, STARLYBRUISER . briggers
thats all you can run as any higher and you will hit fuel cut wehre the engine gives a great big judder. you dont want to go ad do that 2 much as its the limits of the set up. you can run more but you will need to get a fuel cut defender and have a front mount as the charge temps above that amount of boost will be to high for the top mount intercooler. im only running 6 bar and i think thas fast enough lol. mines pretty much stock 2. i got a hybrid and going to run 1.1 or 1 bar and thats just going to be a torquey monster. lol
Glanza_cl
you can run 0.8 bar but bare in mind that you may get boost creep and that will make you hit fuel cut mine is set at 0.7 nd it creeps to 0.8 so obviously cant set it any higher with out hitting fuel cut.but as briggers said i would prefer to be safe. the difference between 6,7 and 0.8 bar of boost is not much anyway, so make sure you have a fmic and fueling right before you start upping the boost. starlybruiser
what do you think about the way i got the pieps set up?? is this pointless as i think i can just have the actuator straight to the turbo housing cant i??
