get apexi filters off ebay mate, they're literally 20quid delivered.

rsr springs are only a 25mm drop yeah, wouldnt advise it without uprated shocks though, ruins the ride, springs are heavy also, will be over £100 easily when they get here and customs/tax has been paid, stuff like that is best to buy in uk as people have already gone through the hassle of importing.

im still gonna attempt 60mm on my standard shocks..

they are new.. by about 10k miles, so im not wasting money on new shocks and all.

probably not going to stick with 60mm long though, i want my car to be more OEM than insane.

its not just the lifespan, its the fact that the shocks rebound rate is designed for the stock springs, as soon as you lower it with stiffer springs, the rebound rates are completely thrown off, thats why you get bone jarring ride and poor handling. If you invest in shocks that are designed for low/stiff springs, it can be as comfy as standard ride height, as they're designed for the springs from the outset.

There is a science to it, but if you just want a lower motor then by all means crack em onto the stock shocks, just keep an eye on them every few weeks to ensure they dont begin leaking, better to be safe than sorry after all.

60mm on stock shocks would be, ahem, interesting. you'll probably struggle with scrubbing of wheels, exhausts etc at 60mm, it may well bottom out on speed bumps which isn't nice, 40mm is a decent drop as its not TOO low, but it all depends what else is fitted to the car <_<

will be looking at selling the 60mm springs and getting the 25mm ones someday.. just when i can afford it.. i hate my current arch gaps..
